Usually, when I read this kind of shoujo manga I know who the girl ends up with even before finishing the manga. But with this one... I'm not reallly sure if it will be sensei or Mamura. I love both of them. Sensei is cute, handsome and not a bad guy. Mamura is cute too, attentive even when he doesn't have a chance (at least that's what it seems) with her... He loves her so much that's hard not liking him.
I really need more of this to know who would I pick <3

I'm not gonna go into detail but I really hate the ending. This is purely my opinion alone and maybe because I'm that shipper of that couple that's why I'm left heartbroken in the end

Sensei I feel bad for you.. you had been cast aside.. and I hate the uncle.. what's his deal...
Sensei doesn't deserve Suzume 😭😭😭
Sensei is like a shooting star.. I could only make a wish...
This is the only manga that I'm not happy about the ending... I don't hate Mamura but why o why

Spoilers here and there :
I believe it was because of the comments regarding the ending that I kept worrying about liking this or not. But when I realized it was a love triangle, I wanted to know the name of the character the FL ended up with before reading it.
With that in mind, I don't know if this is the main reason but I utterly disliked Shishio-sensei. He was a very unpleasant presence, not a bad guy, just very annoying.
But Mamura was for me a guy you could just not hate, he was honest and dishonest all at the same time (if that's possible).
I was mainly worried about the possibility of Suzume falling in love with Mamura in a weird and unnatural way, but I believe it wasn't the case. Sensei was an experience to Suzume that overwhelmed everything else that was happening with everything around her, I could still pick up small but important moments where Mamura marked the heart of our FL, so it felt right that this kid ended up with Suzume.
Putting the important fact of who Suzume ended up with, I think this manga was really well done. There are many emotions and characters involved and even though is very cliche, as I read somewhere else the author manages to still make it seem fresh...
I would like to try some other jobs by the same mangaka. This was a very nice read.

SHOUTOUT TO MY FELLOW #teamSensei!!! THIS IS PROBABLY THE FIRST MANGA THAT BROKE MY HEART!!!! I WON'T RATE THIS BC I LOOOOVE THE STORY AND THE ART BUT I HATE THE ENDING SO MUCH I JUST CAN'T!!! Sure, Mamura is a great guy, but Sensei is too!!!
tho sensei is partly at fault here. He could've just asked Suzu to wait until she gets to be an adult or something
yea yea Mamura is a great guy, but SENSEI!!!!!!

Although, I actually wanted Yosano to end up with Satsuki but I can understand her being with Mamura. This series made me cry many times, it was a tough manga to read. I hate it but I love it (is this possible?). I honestly suggest all readers to read this, not just girls, but boys too. So you can understand what love is and what kind of hardship you'll go through.
This is very beautiful series, please I recommend it.

I really liked the art, which was fashionable, neat and proportionate. The story was also nice. It was still shoujo, but it wasn't just a patchwork of clichés. Characters were generally interesting- and likeable although I agree that Mamura was a bit of a static character. Personally I liked the ending, but I do feel that it's somewhat of a shame that the heroine invested so much time with both love interests. I am at a loss as to which couple to root for and this detracts from the overall satisfaction with the ending. I really did prefer her friend's love story though, which was sweet&fulfilling.

I have no regrets going back to this story, coz even though Shizume is indecisive she still got things cleared up in the end, and that's good. i have no further complains.
I just felt bad for Shishio though, the man who got two beers.

I stopped reading shoujo because the couple I root for never ends up happening. -sighs-
I like Shishio and Mamura, and I really like Suzume. I wasn't impressed how in the beginning Suzume's country origins were emphasized and then later disregarded except for some kind of self-unawareness.
It's a decent shoujo. Very nice art, handsome guys. Even the girls with interesting hairstyles are actually a bit cute. Most of the characters will have your sympathy, and aren't completely one-dimensional.
I'm rooting for Mamura and Suzume. Do your best!!!
Edit: Just finished series. To be honest, I had dropped this with a few chapters to go. It was so boring, although I really enjoyed all the Mazume moments. I only ran through the latest chapters because I love the art.
Would I recommend? I would, but with a caution that it is a love it or hate it, and while at first breaks a lot of shoujo cliches, it also fails your expectations.

The premise is a cliche: girl moving away.
But the characters are what make this stand out.
If your looking a normal but entertaining shojo, try it.
The main character, Suzune, while a normal girl, is independent, isnt shy and has guts.
Mamura is the best character. He is not the usual love interest. His blushing thing is just hilarius, and he never does something stupid that make him lose his dignity.
(Sometimes, people (me) look for a well cliche. So if it is but has a twist or good execution like, this one, people will praise it. No need to get mad lol)

i just want to say i love her artworks, it's fantastic. but her storytelling? not so much. i felt so disappointed after a while. i just waited, hoping for the author to put together the story a little better eventually, but nothing happened so i dropped it. it really had a lot of potential to go somewhere. no character growth. just abrupt romance. i rooted for neither of the male leads (although i did like both) because the female lead was absolutely unlikeable to me. i didn't dislike her, her character was just really bland.
