I don't typically review one shots because they're usually short, to the point and lack any real drama which make them good quick reads, but unworthy of any critique, however, I felt like reviewing this one.
I liked it. The sex got a little frustrating and it wasn't good smut like Hapi Mari or Midnight Secretary, but I'm not focusing on that since typically I find it unnecessary in most mangas on account of it not being executed well.
Oh, I'm getting side tracked, the thing I REALLY liked about this manga were the women. They weren't whiny girls that went crying to a guy. They had their one-night stands, moved on, had their own little problems to deal with, were efficient, and managed to get the attention of equally competent men,

When I say realistic, I don't mean the plot, but the feelings.They're strong and able women, are still prone to a little self-hate and depression, but they still get off their asses and keep moving. And the guys were brilliant, competent, handsome and always looking out for their girls even when the status of their relationship is a little hazy.
And that's why I thought I should drop a review so more people could read.

As in the actual carry-through was atrocious. What kinda fake feminist drivel is this?

Tbh, these chapters are really not worth the time I'm probably about to spend picking apart the misogynistic constructs underlying the advertising of a realistic josei with strong, independent female leads.

But here are some quotes from the male leads (I'll try to resist going into too much detail & getting rant-y):

- "I told you. I'm dangerous tonight. Let me see you take -this- easy."
In a scene featuring aggressive sex wih the female participant being manhandled and passively being screwed with her eyes closed. This is apparently supposed to be a good representation of female fantasies, as this is how the sex is in all four stories. "Beastly" men who take what they want during sex is the only way this mangaka seems to be able to depict her male leads.

- "I can't stand to take it easy and gently with you!" "I'll do it harder than any man you've dated before." Uhh. If hearing these lines before or during sex is a turn on, you have issues.

- "At work he's a gentleman, but in bed... He's a violent and gentle beast." I'm pterodactyl screeching over here. Quietly.

- "I normally want to be able to think my man surpasses me." "...impaling me mercilessly...triumphant face of domination..." "The man who always defeats me, the finest man in the world." Gagging. The story these quotes are from is the worst offender, but all of these stories are guilty of Strong-Women-want-men-to-dominate-them-deep-down-inside. Reminiscent of the All Amazons Want Hercules trope, as well as the Best Her to Bed Her trope. All are based on the idea that women naturally need to be or feel inferior to men.

- "If you hate it, try running away for real." "I will erase any mark any other man has left on you!" "But that's solely your problem. I'll do whatever I want." "Now that things have gone this far, you can't run away anymore. You are mine." First of all, how do none of these men look benign during sex? Even their smiles are sweaty & sleazy smirks. Second, well...if you have gotten this far, and don't find these quotes creepy, I have nothing more to say.

In general, these stories are like looking into the delusional mind of an abusive lover, a rapist or a stalker, and seeing/hearing what he thinks or wishes were happening.

Neither the female nor male leads (who were harlequin caricatures, btw) were realistic or likable, and every story had terribly regressive themes underlying the progressive "career women with libidos" facade.

I'm out, never to return again.

The stories wasnt bad, but could have been better, but it were only one-shots so its okay. The art was not bad, tho i didnt like their lips =.o then somehow the main girls were kinda similiar in a way. The sex scenes were fine. All in all its good to read when bored.

The smut isn't as racy as Katsumoto generally does it, but it's enough to establish the personalities of the men and sort of fits in the role... (maybe, given the general mature feel of the romance).

The romances are interesting coz they're not entirely predictable. There are almost always multiple contenders for a women's affections and you'll be surprised at the turn of events in certain cases.

I enjoy a good smut *blushes at her admittance* so haha...if you are looking for that...it really isn't, but there IS smut and there IS something to it...well I thought so.

I agree with Pocky...the women are strong and they don't cry at every little thing. It was like a split...strong, but also womanly...ya know. So they were perfect. Yay! I like unperfect people since I'm one of those, too! The guys go them! haha
