Horikoshi's One Shot on Oumagadoki Doubutsuen was good, the serialization wasn't. For all those that are complaining about Sensei no Bulge (which seems close to be cancelled as well), I think this is a great improvement (on content and characters)...he is getting the hang of it.

EDIT : HA! Called it...

Well. Like Melon say's, this manga is pretty impressive so far. I live the comedy in it and i i think that the combo Astro and Tiamat is pretty cool smile. The negative point i found the way to send Astro on an Trip too predictable and soon. The way he use his power too he beat everyone he have in front of him without any effort. Well i am going to follow this manga. smile

It's difficult to say whether or not this manga is really good or not, since only the beginning chapters have been scanlated.
Personally, I enjoyed Oumagadoki Doubutsuen immensely, which was done by the same author.
I find his characters very endearing, and therefore, expect the same pleasantness in reading this work.

Although the style and story-telling appear to be standard shonen-esque and the plot is probably not going to be incredibly clever in the end, it definitely has potential.
I was really sad when Oumagadoki was canceled, so I'm really glad that the author is working on another project and am excited about seeing where this manga goes.

Boring, cliche and predictable

This is a shining example of using shounen-style pro-militarism to solve everything. And I mean EVERYTHING.

The story starts off simple; idiotic, bottom of the barrel kid gets a hold of superpowers and a position of power amidst a war and attempts to solve everything by going around beating up the enemy.

Those slums he grew out off? Ignored. The apathetic attitudes of the masses? Ignored or magically solved by winning a single fight. The wartorn lands of his planet? 'The bandits have been removed, time to leave!'
