I myself don?t really mind the age gap. The story isn?t as bad as many make it out to be. But if your not into the whole incest thing thing then I wouldn?t recommend this at all or if you don?t like age gap love then I would highly stay way from this one. The artwork has gotten a bit simplistic but it still gorgeous as ever. Or else it?s the same shojo feel from many of her other works.

Never understood why people like this author

That full moon manga ended with the heroine trying to get pierced by both vertices of the love triangle. Cancelling out 100% of the romantic plot. When she eventually rolls the dice and picks a guy, she then finds it humorous that the other guy shows up at the wedding and says "ayy lmao imma ntr you so bad, gonna knock u up girl" and then inexplicably both ruins their honeymoon and starts living at their home (with her permission, to the dismay of her still-virgin husband) indefinitely.

It's like a manga to get young girls ready for all those double-penetration/adultery josei manga. This manga is bad too.

Shockingly Bad

Considering Arina Tanemura produced a manga like Full Moon wo Sagashite, this one is not just bad, it's shockingly bad. It's like she's not even trying anymore. I agree with the people who say that all her works went downhill after Shinshi Doumei Cross. (Her art has gotten more stiff looking too.) There are parts of this manga that just go beyond ridiculous. Shoujo cliches aren't even the problem anymore, because cliches can be done right, but there are too many aspects of this manga that make it hard for me to take it seriously.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
When the MC and her child cousin have their clothes off and bodies pressed together, I don't really buy the whole "it's supposed to be cute because they're trying to keep warm after the rainstorm".
But I guess the good news for Tanemura is that, like the old saying goes, once you hit rock bottom you've nowhere to go but up. Sorry not sorry. It's only because I know she can do much better than this.

Just to note, I did try to go on with the Japanese releases but this series never really quite caught my interest as much as other Tanemura's works. It's not the cousin love that bugs me, it's that this series is like every standard shoujo and the characters are so forgettable. The art is still gorgeous as always.

To be honest I think Tanemura-sensei's series took a nose dive in quality after Shinshi Doumei Cross (which it itself was only "eh.") and her only decent, unique series at the moment is 31 Ai Dream

Not Quite Up to Par

This is coming from someone who prefers romances where the male is younger than the female. Usually there's a way to make it work so it's cute and not creepy, but in this case…
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the heroine (16) is physically attracted to her TEN year old cousin from the start! Just doesn't sit right…
and sadly, Arina's art isn't even spectacular in this series and that's usually her one redeeming skill.

I don't see how everyone hates this so much...

Okay, I'm a fan of the author's since I was 10, so I'm biased. Sure, I don't LOVE everything she dishes out (Gentleman's Alliance was terrible), but I read all of it.

In my opinion, this is actually one of her better works. The beginning was super strange and weird, with the teenage heroine unable to choose between the senpai she supposedly loves and her younger cousin who's a brat and claims to be the man of her dreams.
I can see how that must weird a lot of people out to the point of not wanting to read on, but the story actually gets better, and the characters gain more depth starting in volumes 2/3 (I have the first 4 Tankobons).

Also, Nekota-kun isn't nearly as juvenile as he appears to be in the beginning. He is actually more mature than most MC we know from Tanemura, and I got to like him after some time.

This seems to be the most hated manga Tanemura ever wrote (with the japanese ratings being terrible), but I think a big part of that is the fact that people expect a mangaka's style to grow up together with them, but Tanemura insists on keeping her light style. I was super disappointed with that in Gentlemen's Alliance myself, but I think it works in this one.
I think this manga deserves a chance (beyond the admittedly mediocre first volume), but I'll withhold my rating until the manga is concluded.

I've only read the first chapter so far, but that's actually enough to tell what kind of manga this is. When I was younger, I have always been a fan of Tanemura's work, but maybe I'm just grown up. I still want to read her works, but I think that I can't endure "Neko to watashi no kinyoubi". From the very beginning, the heroine was too noisy and nervous. It was clear from the start what kind of person Nekota-kun is and the whole course the story takes was clear for me. I'm also sad about the fact, that Tanemura seems to not even try to create a heroine that doesn't look like Maron from KKJ. Plus, all the things Ai said and did in this first chapter were so clicheed and forseeable. Of course the drawings are cute as always, but they can't assuage me for the bad story anymore. I will be reading the chapters as they come out, but only because I have always been a huge fan of Tanemura Arina. This piece seems like it's full of fan-service-stuff to me, and I don't like that peronally.
This work is just disappointing. After Sakura Hime Kaden I thought that her manga will get better again, but NTWNK is a failure, in my opinion. It's starts off just as bad as Mistress Fortune was. While I keep on reading I truly hope that the story gets better, but I don't have high hopes for it.
