Love

Incredible! This is one of the best consensual yaoi stories I have ever read; all the characters--male and female--were multi-dimensional and burst from the page. They had families, insecurities, and true devotion. The plot was full of twist and turns and well planned out beginning to end. The message of embracing and recognizing the many types of love based on the person, not anything unimportant like age or gender, was delicately and carefully delivered.

It wasn't so sweet that it was saccharine, either! Both the two protagonists were so utterly virginal and nervous and yet mature at the same time--it was a fascinating interplay. Their nervousness only enhanced the tension of the scene as their desire for one another developed.

Sensei's daughter and her love were also a really interesting addition. I liked that the daughter's relationship with her lover wasn't clichéd.

What really shines through is love. There is so much crafted poetic telling of what love is in its many forms (father-daughter, daughter-father, friend-friend, lover-lover, etc). It was a heart warming tale full of awesome pacing and tenderness. The angst and frustration levels were just right; nothing ever went perfectly, but it was perfect in its imperfection! Just like life.

The art was a treat! It was bright and clear with sharp lines and only essential background detail. The balance of white space was very aesthetically pleasing and smooth to read. The narration bubbles were all strangely angular, but it made for a precise-look that balanced well with the extremely pronounced, multi-faceted levels of relationship intensive scenes.

not shota, yay!

not particularly realistic or deep, but rather sweet. and hey, nothing is forced here! love the sub-plot, because while i caught onto the main plot right away, i didn't see that coming. the drama of this story lies in the little things; there is no big upheaval, no rivals, no stupid misunderstandings. it didn't touch me where i live, but it was very nice overall.

i wish itsuki did more of these, because i really enjoy her art, but don't care for shota or shota-esque characters.

A very endearing, lighthearted read which can make your heart swell of it's sweetness. I loved how peculiar and unpredictable the plot was- at first I really didn't know what to expect out of it, and it turned out to be quite a surprise, especially the shoujo-ai part. Character-wise, I loved how Itsuki Kaname made a really compatible pairing out of a middle-aged uke, not to mention, he's the father-in-law AND as twice as old as the seme and the slowly growing romantic feelings coming about. The events flew really smooth between them and you couldn't help but get carried away by their overflowing emotions. The art made it lovely even more. I honestly couldn't count the number of times I've read this and reading this over and over made me realize how beautifully crafted this series was.

It is a very sweet story, both the characters are cute and hurting and they finally come together in the most moving way.
Masumi's eyes are so expressive you can read all of his feelings in them, and you'll end up falling in love with him for this!
Go Masumi, we're all with you!

I've read it numerous times myself. ^_^ I really wasn't expecting much from this story once I began reading it but boy did it blow off my expectations!! It turned out a million times better than I thought it would and I was pleasently surprised.

Shoutarou and Masumi are two very well created characters. Though this is a short manga, five chapters, the characters have debth and almost become life-like which is a talent most mangaka's have trouble doing with their characters.

Shoutarou's feelings for the older Masumi are apparent from the very beginning but don't think for a second that this manga is predictable because it isn't. It has a very big twist which surprised me yet wrapped up the story quite nicely. Shoutarou is one of those patient, kind and adorable Semes that I just LOVE seeing in yaoi and Masumi is a mature yet bashful at Uke at times. A nice change from those cry baby ukes who are lost for most of the story. ^_^;

The gorgeous art was just an awsome added bonus. I'm extremely picky about the art and this one certainly did not dissappoint me. It's truly a must read and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The art is gorgeous but sometimes the face of some characters are out of proportion and didn't look the same as the start. Anyways the story kinda deep but not all angsty. haha i didn't expect what happen in chapter 4 and the ending was funny LOL

This is far from my usual angsty, smutty yaoi. However, the storyline is very nice. It's kind of refreshing to read something different from your usual cliched yaoi. It's like a breath of fresh air. If you are looking for a manga with a good storyline and light action, this is for you. But if you're looking for your usual hardcore yaoi, skip out on this because this is not the type of action you're seeking.

Here you have an uke who is old enough to be the seme's father! But somehow it's not gross. In fact, it's a really charming story about a clumsy, hesitant relationship.

The art was fantastic! This was my fave title to date by Itsuki senesi. I fell in with both characters. They're story was sweet and touching. I truly enjoyed reading every page.

There was a delightful surpirse with Shiraishi's daughter...very cute :3

I also loved the fact that the Shiraishi was the uke...I enjoy reading about couples like that. ;D
