Description
Kyo Aizawa's father is a basketball devotee but has been forced to quit playing his precious sport because of an injury. Instead of himself working his way up to the NBA, he feels that Kyo, his daughter should fulfill his dream. To give Kyo a good start in her career of basketball he enrolls her in Seishu High School which is known for two things: its extremely cute girls' uniforms and their boys' basketball team. Not only does unhappy Kyo have to pretend to be a boy during the day (the basketball team members all live at the school to boost the team spirit), she has to do it day and night....

i read this four years ago and i still think it is the only manga that could really make me laugh. it is so freakin' FUNNY. At school during silent reading time..when i read a funny part i tried to hold it in, and then when i turned the next page, i tried to keep quiet.. yet, as i read on i really really wanted to laugh my lungs out, scream, slap the table etc. but no..instead i sit there looking constipated. So if you read this at school don't read it during silent reading! otherwise you'll just have to put the book down

BEST COMEDY EVER!!!! esp volume 9 of english version ^o^
My number one comedy.
Though while I read it I kept thinking "moar romance!! you slow idiots!", afterwards the impression I was left with was that, what the hell, I've never laughed with a manga asmuch as I laughed with Power. Seriously. I still laugh out loud when I remember certain scenes. Ahahaha... oh man. The plot wasn't even that good, such a hackneyed gender bender! but who cares!
You might find this rating outrageously overestimated, and I admit in some way I was affected by my surroundings at the time of reading it, which now make me remember it fondly. But aren't we all? from one's overall situation, to the moment's mood, to the friends you shared it with and the music you were listening to. Isn't that the best part, and the best way?

That was funny, but honestly rather over-the-top at times. I appreciated some things, like how the female lead is actually good enough at her chosen sport to hold par in the men's team (why does this never happen?), but honestly, all the yelling and drama rather got to me. I still finished it, though!

This manga had me laughing out loud like crazy. This contains wacky and over the top humor. I loved the manga for the most part, and it reminded me of Hana Kimi. However, as I've noticed with this author's works, the later chapters start to get really messy,cliche...and just plain strange. The plot became strange and over the top like the humor. Very unrealistic..
But for the most part i enjoyed this manga. Its great if you're looking for a comedy, because i feel that comedy was the main focus of this manga.

A manga about basketball with hardly any basketball. Has its funny moments, some are cliche (oh another girl disguised as a boy in the boys dorms how original), but at a certain point the writer changes gears and jettisons some of its serious aspects for absurdity and breaking the fourth wall. The lack of consistency and obvious lack of knowledge about the sport dragged this one down for me even after a decent beginning. It mainly becomes average and in no way does this deserve a 10.
Uh...first of all, Power is amusing, but I have no desire to reread it. The ending is horrible, so stupid. Hana Kimi isn't my favorite series, but I think it's definitely better than Power. Everyone says that Hana Kimi fans would like this series, but I think that each series suffers from the constant comparison; the plotline has a lot in common, but liking one series absolutely doesn't guarantee you'll like the other. Sorry, maybe I'm just vindictive today because I've had a bad week...maybe I'm just being stupid. sigh...

Honestly the story is very simple but i gave it and 8 cause it succeeded in being the light and laugh out loud gender blender manga. I also think that the main girl (Kyou) is super cool considering that she is a tomboy and can kick other guys ass.

Hehhehe, this manga is really funny. I haven't read very much ( only on chapter 6) but its still really funny. XD
