It's pretty gorey but the plot is very interesting. It gets you hooked to it and makes you want to know more. Thing is it's TOO long. Too much of the same thing over and over again..i just want it to hurry up and end.

I read up through whats currently out... I have to say it definitely is interesting. The whole concept is kinda absurd; but that's what motivates me to read it; oh, and because Kurono is a bad ass. Anyway, I don't like how the chapters are so short. I think this series does have a lot of potential though.

Very interesting plot, but the story goes really slow and although the drawings very out of the ordinary i think it relies a bit too much on sex appeal for it to merit a better score.

the only good think is that the MC looks alot like Kyo from KOF did back when SNK still could draw

hmm now when i think about it...japanese ppl might not get scared when lunatics run around
the akiba knife murderer the other year was obviously dangerous...yet ppl just loled in a got stabbed
and then after when tv shows up...idiot ppl stand around laughing and waving at the camera
so maybe the mangaka gets japanese...and its me that dont understand the way the japanese mind work

started reading this but like many say its just one insanely strong monster/dinosaur/alien/vampire thing after another.
the art is different. there is fan service. but i just couldnt get along with it really. the plot is apparantly coming to a head now, maybe il read it once its finished

If you don't like the art in this you got some serious trouble in your head.
This manga is a masterpiece! the story, art, characters are all amazing and it's very hard to find a better or equal manga.

But give it some time before you read it because imo it seems like OKU Hiroya puts down a huge effort drawing the manga with an almost perfect enviorment, backgrounds and surroundings so the time between the new releases are huge.

I have a very hard time keeping track of the story and whats happening because the 20 pages that comes like every 1-2 months takes less then 5 minutes to read, if you're planning to read an ongoing serie you should stick to series like bleach, one piece or/and naruto Where the authors focus more on the stories and weekly releases rather then arts and looks

You have to like this kind of fantastic sci fi kind of reading. For me It Was an awesome reading.
There IS a great BUT: the fan service. Why mangakas and editors think men are the only ones Who read manga or watch animé In most well known mangas put boobs ass And panties at some point. That IS disgusting.

Oh god, Gantz is probably the worst thing I have ever read, haha. I was right about to give up after after chapter 5 but the beautiful art has strung me along this whole time and I'm somehow beginning to like it? What's most great and annoying about Gantz is that you have absolutely no idea what's going to happen next, because the base of the whole story is so abstract. The violence is terrible and there's sex and throwing up but you get used to it, haha.

until about five volumes, this manga is nothing about gore and boring story line. but well, the main idea is fascinating and the application is good enough.

from then until about volume 20, this manga is very interesting. there are character development, new challenge, plot twist, and neat style.

from then until now, the manga turned unbearably boring. the art is hybrid of hand drawing and photograph which doesn't joined gracefully. they are like patches and it doesn't improve as time goes by. every chapters not showing a good story development, three volumes (27-29) don't mean anything. the plot hole doesn't make this manga interesting like it happens in earlier volumes, they're just upsetting. i don't know when the story and art will improve. i still keep hopes, but very little.

I've read 277 chapters of this, mostly because nothing really happens in each chapter- one or two diallogs and a whole lot of pictures; for me it looks like a story board for some mindless american film.

However, there was a few characters that I quite liked, perhaps it made me come this far in reading it. But once onemanga suspendet Ganz, I thought it's the best time to finaly stop wasting my time by simply looking at (can't argue) good pictures, while I could actualy read something else.
