I think this manga is sweet. I forgive the main character because she's a child. If the story was set in high school or college, I would be disgusted. But given the main character's age, I can accept it a lot more. I think it's wonderfully written and despite the childish responses and silly actions, I don't think it's so over the top it should be classified as "terrible." It's definitely not the best shoujo I've ever read, but I'm going to continue reading it because of its sweet nature and art.

ok at first I pegged this manga as alright on the verge of becoming bad. but now as I picked it up and read the latest chapter I found the main character as being EXTREMELY annoying. I don't mean regular "you irritate me" annoying I mean "GAWD DANGIT GTF AWAY FROM ME" kind of annoying. She's dense, tries to act tough, "shy", cry baby, TOO WEAK and typical spoiled girl. Minami the main leading guy is... mmmm... alright-ish but as soon as he goes out with the heroine he starts becoming the un-lovable type of guy.

If you're bored on the verge of exploding, read it. otherwise... stay away.

To be honest I don't really have any issue with shoujo mangas, I just dislike the BAD ones - and this series is simply one of the worst (or maybe the worst itself) I've ever seen. It carries a pretty typical shoujo theme, but that's still ok to me if the characters aren't that much annoying. That girl in the series is the type I hate most. She doesn't have the look, doesn't have the brain, she only knows how to cry and run away, and sometimes those words like "bitch" "f***" "sh**" (O_o !!!) are poured from her supposed-to-be-so-innocent mouth. She gives me goooooosebumps... I actually prefer the villain girl, she might have some mean traits but she's strong, bold and confident. No thing particular about the boy, just another oh-so-cool shoujo guy.

If you wanna read a shoujo manga I'm sure there're a bunch of better ones out there. Don't waste your time =)

I disagree with the ones who say this is just a typical shoujo or whatsoever. In fact, this one's very realistic. Of course things like this don't happen to many people, but they do happen and it's portrayed pretty nicely - or at least, from the first volume (I haven't read it all yet, but I assume it's going to be similar in throughout the other volumes?) But anyways, this manga is lovely - the love that is portrayed in this story is innocent and sweet, the best kind. Also - the girl isn't dense, it's just plain denial - wouldn't you be when you find out somebody you've been in love with seems to be in love with you too? And also, the guy was portrayed well - it's from the heroine's point of view after all, and that's what high school crushes are like - very idealistic without really getting to know them. The romance portrayed in this manga is in fact very real, and likely are made up of situations the mangaka has experienced before and therefore was able to sort of retell them - unlike many other shoujo stories with icky "passionate romances" that I despise.

Edit: Okay - so I've read quite a bit of this now and I absolutely love this manga. It makes me feel so happy reading this. I'm glad I picked this up and of course, I love StarryHeaven for scanlating this.

To be honest, I'm never a fan of cliche manga. But I really enjoyed reading this, who cares if the girl is just simply dense?! It's shoujo afterall. I like how the girl isn't so big-headed, we all can obviously see the boy just simply loves her. But as you all know, when you like someone, you obviously don't believe they'll feel the same way back because you're so blinded by your own feelings, you don't notice what the other party feels. The guy may be perfect, but who cares? It's a shoujo manga, and shoujo manga are usually directed at girls around 12 and up. Everyone dreams of a perfect guy, so you can't blame him for being so perfect. So maybe the girl is dense as a nut, it's kind of fun to read about her because you can sympathize with her and there are actually girls who are like her. Now, I don't think the boy is very much developed, but I still don't mind reading it.

I guess who ever has a bunch of time on their hands can pick this up. But I seriously don't recommend this to people who don't want to waste their time. Because this is the typical shoujo manga you read about, and not a lot of people like stuff like this. The art is nice, I like it which is partly the reason why I read it.

And for those of you who want stronger heroines, go read Shounen.

Yeah, i agree with some ppl that Miyuu crys a bit too much, but there was that event ((chapter 15 and 16)) that got me tearful a bit (( maybe its becuz i dont get out much)), and i liked it, plus i love Amano Jun, he is real optimistic and helps Miyuu when she needs it, Jun is one of the reasons why im still reading this, i kind of hope we see more of him as a supporting character, if not then, ill hope something good will happen to the other supporting character, Suzumura Yuka, even though some manga dont tell about all the other characters' happy endings...only the main characters', even though its obvious from the very beginning that Nanahara Miyuu and Minami Tomoya would be together.

It's... okay. Not outstanding, not the worst. Just... okay. The girl gets annoying, though you can somewhat sympathize with her to a point. She cries and runs away at pointless things that would make normal girls laugh or just brush off. The guy is unrealistic, but decent. Minami-kun, I think that's his name. But it wasn't what I was hoping for when I started, and when I read manga I usually have a hard time dropping it. The romance is plain, not enough spice. It's a lackluster romance, and the problems are petty. If you're looking for something with a realistic touch and a nice amount of amazing drama, this definitely isn't it.

It's not the best, not the worst. Just, overall, boring and unrealistic. The art is good, but that's all... If you have a lot of time on your hands, pick this up.

I finished this manga years ago (probably). The girl is so annoying and I hated the whole story. I just read this because I bought the manga. It was a waste of time and money.
