From Manga-Sketchbook:

"My war isn't over!"
One mobile suit infantryman's personal battle resumes as a red fire blazes again in his eyes!

Betrayed by his own men, Captain Grahad Mills, a commander of the SAA Special Force "Jackal," is held responsible for a conspiracy about which he knew nothing. Without defense counsel at his court, he is sentenced to death. On the morning of his execution, he escapes the military detention center; in the process blasting a troop of national military guards and killing its commander - Captain Waldman, his former subordinate and betrayer. All this is for revenge and to find out the reason for the treachery. The former hero - feared and known as "Genocide" - starts to fight a battle he created by himself.

I have never seen such a realistic war manga before. Every tech detail explained, every scratch on thr armor illustrated, every facial expression fleshed out, every action taken well-drawn. Truly, one of a kind.

This is one of some that i would recomend you to read. The war in this manga is so realistic, the battle scenes are awesome, not to mention cool mech. I've read it so far, and this one have good story line.
By the way, the technology that they use surely will be used in the near future, making it more realistic than some mecha manga ive read biggrin.

This comes to mind as the best mecha and/or modern day warfare manga to be found. So many different forms of combat done in detailed perfection and the art being quite good. The main character being one of the most badass military types that you can find in the manga medium.

Freaking amazing art as well as detailed technical drawings make this manga a pleasure to read. I've been starving for a military manga -- a story about soldiers, about war, and about the lies that fuel war. The protagonist is a typical action hero seeking vengeance, but I love the fact that his darkness and his hatred is balanced with nobility. He's kind of like the Count of Monte Cristo, but more trigger-happy.

The only thing that ticks me off is that he acquires a love interest too quickly. I mean -- I was hoping for a "pure" military manga, with lots of guns and glory, but no romance to speak of. I was disappointed when romance itruded, however subtly, into the plot. The only things these guys should be loving are their mechas! Damn it!

Ah, well... Still, the shoot-em-up action is great! And I really, really adore the armored suits. They're awesome. I'd love to own one of those, although I suppose it's good for my neighborhood that I don't. biggrin

Great manga about war in all its aspects spiced up with some political power games, stunning action and a slowly developing but worthy storyline.
Don't miss out on this one!

The artwork is very good and the battle scenes are very engaging. The story is rather interesting and I look forward to seeing how it develops. I'm glad that I gave this manga a chance despite my initial doubts.
