I loved this manga till chapter 17 and then a

I like these dark mangas with the characters who are just... great. Can't describe it. It has a light yet dark atmosphere, making it pretty suspenseful at times. Humans are portrayed as beasts who want to kill one another and the darkest aspects of humans are shown. Jealously, rage, desire... murder. The main character, the male lead that is, is complex and we can't understand his character. A seemingly sweet individual that, at moments, show to be twisted and cunning. He is not what he seems.

The story flows pretty well, divided into little arcs. First was unexpected as others have said before me. The second was somewhat expected. I wasn't at shocked as before. Overall, I really can't describe the story that much since it has only been 5 chapters in english. I think it made a fantastic start. Mysteries like why the brother killed is still left unsolved. It still has a lot of potential.

I feel as though I should talk about the sister. The sister is not the dumbest of all manga heroines. Cries over her brother maybe a tad too much but I don't dislike her. In fact, I think she just has a brother complex. She does anything for him, and I mean she would do anything. She interesting and she could still develop.

To wrap it up, I like it

A good series, effectively mixing drama and humor. Notably, though, the two elements are balanced by placing each in its own plane of existence. Earth, the human world, is gritty, twisted, and dark, while the afterlife, the shinigami world, is effectively carefree, light and orderly. Whether this is on purpose and the contrast was created intentionally or not has yet to be seen, but so far it has served very effectively to create the setting and tone.
