Put on the Red Light

MC reincarnated into light fantasy House of the Edgelords, who think being edgy is the ultimate expression of power and cunning. Her family is so over the top evil, psycopathic, and edgy that its enjoyable in bad junk food sort of way. Don't get me wrong, it makes absolutely no sense, they are treated with respect because apparently they can murder people good, instead of you know being put down by their peers for being complete and unrepentant bloodthirsty psycopaths. But they apparently "know where the bodies are hidden" and no one has come up with the idea that they would stop knowing if they did the world a favor and wiped them out. I'm secretly holding onto hope that ALL the noble families will be equally crazy in different ways. Story is overall standard fair; Art is great, story is generic (But that's expected).

If you'd like to trade in the standard generic friendship and flowers , for blood and butterflies its an okay read.

[as of chapter 20]

Despite the garbage title, “The Way to Keep an Older Brother of the Heroine Safe” is a breath of fresh air for a sub-genre stultified by a lack of imagination and breadth. It takes the isekai’d novel reader with a nobility fetish and combines it with a world harbouring the over-the-top violence and mental instability of stories like Mirai Nikki, Deadman Wonderland and Elfen Lied. The moral degeneration on display is shlocky (practically a trope of this genre), but it’s all the more entertaining for it. A dark, gothic twist on the fairtale asesthetic then melds this package together. It forms a reading experience that is a bit more sultry and “naughty” when compared to the innocent whimsy of, for example, “Who Made Me a Princess”. I look forward to the continuation of this story and hope it can find a way to integrate the larger themes and backstory introduced so we aren’t just left with a male damsel occasionally visited by our butterfly villainess. Stone walls and entrapment can only be entertaining for so long.
