As a fan of Ayano Yamane's, I had no doubt in my mind that this would be a good read. And it is, but it's not GREAT like her other work, the Finder series.
The art beautifully drawn - maybe "too" beautiful if that's possible - that it often feels like it's the only thing backing up a somewhat simple plot. Prince falls under curse, dashing seme breaks it. Add some expensive velvet, fantastical creatures, and some swords here and there and you've pretty much got it.
It's enjoyable and breathtaking, but personally, not quite as deep as Loveprize in Viewfinder was for me.

I missed this kind of artstyle!I've always liked historical - fantasy BLs so it's a HUGE plus!There are just some scenes that made me uncomfortable. It would've been fine if the author just pushed it to "shounen-ai or softcore BL" .Some s*x scenes sorta just made me uncomfy most especially if it's non-consensual!!!! Nonetheless, the plot is REALLY INTERESTING and most of all, there is ACTUAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT which I'm always looking for whenever reading any BLs!

crimson spell really keep me going there, ion other word, im motivated by the art and the plot of the story, i thought it is very good, how Ayano-sensei draw fantasy object and creatures. The art work still the best xD. great plot too, my favorite fantasy

Great art, pretty good sex, and I like all of the characters. Not as good as Finder though, as that plot made sense, and the cheap sexual plot devices were woven in a way that didn't make me go WTF ?? in that one. *cough cough Tentacle rape* (Thought that crap was only in hentai for guys?!?! Getting raped by nature is creepy, not hot.) The Uke can sometimes be almost Seme-like, and vice-versa, so their roles aren't completely set in stone. Interesting plot for a yaoi, but I really don't know what's going on it's so slapped together. Not bad, worth a try. Not wel planned out, but still like it nonetheless.

Ah i really should have read this one sooner, it's sooo good. The story is just great and unique. I love sensei's work but maybe this one tops all of the others?...I love the relationship between them and volume 2 and 3 is so intense my heart just keep thumpin. For those who enjoy reading The Ice-Cold Demon this one has the same type of adventure and humor, except we get to see hard yaoi ^_^

Good art as expected from sensei, the plot's kinda interesting but i'm hoping there are more characters development and sure the plot too

Very gorgeous artwork as usual, befitting of Yamane-sensei's quality. However, the storyline is very messy and extremely cliched. Too bad that she's good at making interesting traits as usual but doesn't make good use of it.

The story line at first wasn't something and it was a little odd(develoment wise. the idea itself was fine^^).
But what really draws the eye at the beging(at least mine) the beautiful art and, as it says at the description-"Very Graphic"-this is indeed true^^ but what's not to like about it. Wish there were more works with Yamane Ayano's lvl of art... oh well, I guesse it's like a precius treat^^.

Art is of course smashing, plots excellent! I didnt think I would like anything with a fantasy undertone but this worked well! A little surprised at how the yaoi is taken place, but, its different and different is always good amongst repetition!
