I love this manga The art is so beautiful.. The storylines are realistic Sometimes you feel like crying but in the end everthings good again I really enjoyed reading the manga

Well...the whole story is simple but i was moved in the end
it actually made me cry because it's so sweet...

The first chapter was nice and really interesting, but then it kinda went downhill and became rather cliched. It's worth reading if you're bored, though.

Though some parts of the story is bit too cliche.. but I love the atmosphere when I read along, it's sweet and bitter at the same time. It made me cry in some parts but also made me smile in other parts! Highly recommended for anyone who love historic base story... (Though I wish Butterfly is a older teen but I guess it's how the world like at that time right?)

I really liked this manga, in fact, I think that it's one of my favorite shoujo manga. I wonder why people don't want to make all this manga in to anime...I really liked it. I liked the drawing style, too. I also liked how it ended, it was so kawaii!!!!
Somehow, I wished that there were more chapters to Mademoiselle Butterfly, but I think it ended just fine. The ending was really, really good!! It gives you a satisfying ending. I recommend this manga to be one of you first shoujo manga to read!! Of course, there's a lot of other good ones, like, Faster than a Kiss, Help!!, Beauty Pop, and Special A. These are just a few of them!! (Oh, and that all the manga listed above is recommended!! Only Special A is in anime. Too bad...)

I love the artwork, it's sharp and neatly drawn. Really, really like how the characters are in this story. Love the plot as it is simple and perfect as a shoujo manga read. This story is short and sweet. Possibly the sweetest shoujo manga I've ever read.

The artwork in this manga is very beautiful and stunning. The attention to detail is also very profound. In the story, the plot has yet to develop (it doesn't drag or drone on though) but the little anecdotes of incidents of the two main characters face never fail to entertain me. This is a very soft, delicate, yet deep story (not to heavy either). It touches into further society and you can feel the sense of atmosphere even though the aspects of the world are just skimmed. Don't worry, however, it is an adorable read as well. The romance is evident and is a central part of the story but it doesn't take away from the actual plot.
I must also add that the synopsis is only the outline of the FIRST chapter. So basically, it doesn't do the actual manga any justice. Ignore the summary and GO AND READ IT!!! It's so AMAZING!
Highly recommended even to non-shoujo readers as long as you are lenient on certain shoujos or not so picky...like me. ;)
This is all personal commentary by the way. If you read it or are going to read it and didn't feel the way I did, that's okay. I'm just weird like that.

Akane Ogura is a friend of Bisco Hatori, creator of popular manga and anime Ouran High School Host Club. When I heard that, I just went ahead to read one of Ogura-sensei's mangas. 8D Thus I read this one.
