With a concept like Battle Royale, diaries similar to Death Note, a female lead who seems to be transported from the world of Elfen Lied, add in numerous plot twists, dangerously deranged antagonists, and a weak protagonist who probably has the least chance of survival, what's there to miss?

this series really amazes me, and those crazy psycho glares of yuna are pure art imo!! sometimes she makes me speechless with her reasonments ( just look at ch 10^) . the deus ex machine thing is quite original and make s the others motivations look more realistic. i hope to see at least 10-11 volumes for this series

4 million copies sold after the 2009 economical crisis. 20 million views on the op1 music video and as many on op2. 30 million on a random amv. Enough said. Your attempts at smearing this excellent series are futile.
We, the real fans love anime because it is edgy, appeals to the male fantasy and it is not afraid to pull heinous shit, unlike the many MANY hero's journey woke stories of today. Cope harder smearers.

Quite frankly the best part about Mirai Nikki was all of the nostalgia you get from reading it, all of the tropes it uses and even having a "dere" as a main character is a good throwback of how things used to be in anime/manga more than 10 years ago, but with that being said this is definitely a manga where the premise is waaaay better than the plot, most characters are pretty shallow and the main character has to be one of the most annoying characters of all time, the action is just silly, like, are we really gonna pretend katanas can cut bodies like butter?.

Tldr, the history, art and character are pretty mediocre but is a fun throwback for anyone who was around in the early 2010's

I picked up this manga by recommendation from friends. I think it's a great read if the reader is looking to analyze (or over-analyze) character relationships and motives for their actions.

But one thing I do find interesting in this manga it the drive of each character as they seek to obtain their objectives. The characters' manipulative and cognitive skills are brought to light and serves to be the main attraction (to me at least) when I am reading this anime.

Apart from that, some of the characters are pretty forgettable and are probably elements the author conjured up to advance the plot line.

With a title like that, I wouldn't be surprised if suddenly, a new character pops out and ends the story by relieving the protagonist of his contract or awarding him with 'a second life' of sorts.

Still, it is not a dull read if you like to give a bit of thought on the motives and the way the characters exploit situations and relationships to achieve their motives. If reading casually, readers would likely be put off/confused by the characters actions, as the story doesn't really explain the reason for their actions immediately after the fact (or before, in some cases).

the story is lame, the characters are boring, everything seems bland, except...

for yuno, this insane girl, is obsessively in love with the protagonist and her insanity is not typical goofy shonen crap. Its crazy, people are constantly dying due to her lack of morals.

seriously, if she ever dies in this series... i would stop reading it since this character is the only thing that makes this story stand out from the rest.

On another note, yuno is so hardcore, most interesting female lead ever, regardless of media. i wish my girlfriend was crazy like that and wielded axes at scrubs

I don't accept that....I love Yuno. I would really cry if she would be just one of many personalities of main hero...no she must be real. There is no person suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder in the background. They are killing each other to become a God not for uniting a broken psycho personality..lol great story
