Description
Akira Shiraishi, a young high-school boy with feminine features, joins Blaue Rosen, the all-girl band that Mizuki Sakurazaka, an androgynous girl of the same age, performs lead electric guitar in.

Their high-school life is anything but typical: Mizuki is the "prince" of her all-girl school while Akira is the "princess" of the neighboring all-boy school. A series of comical events brings them closer together, even as the prejudice of the people around them tries to hold them back.

This has reverse role in it
It was an okay manga, nothing too special but something to binge read for fun. It's a little silly but charming in it's own way. It's not all that smutty either, definitely lust though.
The characters are very androgynous too.

I read this one and it's sequel when I first got into manga and I thought that it was great. However, after a few years of reading I rediscovered this one and thought that it should be worth a reread as even though I couldn't remember that much of it's plot, I remember I liked it a lot. That was when I realized that the manga itself was not all that great. The characters are overly unrealistic and dramatic and generally it just wasn't that good compared to all those other manga out there, at best this is just average or slightly below with a slightly more idea for the story but still unbelievably cliche, I couldn't stand a few chapters of this!

I really loved this prequel because Akira pursues Mizuki so whole heartedly. Also I love the art and the fact that there's a girl -> hot guy gender bender which you don't often see. But the sequel is... ngh. urgh.

It started off pretty interesting.. But after awhile I lost my interest in reading it.. I always find that if I'm starting to do a quick read on the storyline.. It hasn't sucked me in at all.. I also found the gender bender part to be a bit too over the top.. The beauty in the way she draws is one of my favourites though.

a girl that looks like a sexy *man* is in a rock band in an all girls school. She is upset that one of her best friends and lead vocalist is leaving the band... On their search for another singer a young girl looking guy comes along and steels the show.. He also dresses like a girl to be in the band as well as wants to date HER!.. The quickly get romantic and after that it's just a bung of chapters of him and her getting volleyed by "guys". And one girl. He is a strong little guy that comes from a family of fighters though so he gets out of sticky situations easily.. She was always fine dressing like a guy before bit she quickly starts getting irritated that he is not seen as a man or that she looks like a man.. It's weird because their lovey dovey parts looks do weird.. It looks like a twelve yr old taking advantage okie dokes his teacher?! In the end the get into a huge fight over her not saying she loves him.. Me admits to the girls school that he is a guy not a girl. And they make up and vow they love eachother.. He does try to sleep with her the whole time and she is shown naked.. But it's not really what I would call "smut".

Absurdly hilarious

One of the most ridiculous shoujos I've ever read. I think I've tried reading this a while ago but couldn't make it past the first chapter. There are so many things (obviously) wrong with this manga. The cliches are on steroids and the depiction of characters sickly twisted. YEt, why I am sitting here slapping my knees in laughter several chapters in? For the most part, it's because it's crossed a line of seriousness and no longer offends me.

But hey, there's the tip for you: while reading this, don't take anything seriously - both morally and realistically. Everything is so wrong, it becomes right.

seriously, how can he think that the woman he loves would be okay with him having a bunch of guys kissing him all over his body? how can she take him back? disgusting. how can she even hold him or kiss him, knowing a bunch of smelly disgusting guys kissed? feel so sorry for her, that she settles for him... i would have loved this manga had she left him in the end...

I have to say that it was different... the plot was kind of interesting and new to me cause i don't really read any mangas in which the characters are so mismatched or androgynous, cause i normally like if the male lead it's a little bit androgynous, but the girl (in my POV has to look like a girl u know?) cause it kind of confuses me... so.. this was new to me... not something i would have normally read... but it was different and i enjoyed it (even if sometimes the highs of the characters were wrong and Akira looked taller than Mizuki suddenly or the fact that even if he was really smaller than her he could carry her around like if she weighted nothing more than a feather or something?) welll as u can see i didn't get that.. but... who is counting? right?

i didn't read the entire manga cause i really don't like shojo in general, but i skimmed the fist couple of volumes (i thought it would be shounen-ai after seeing the cover) and i liked how the gender conventions were flipped like akira getting the fanservice moments, and how he stands on tip toe to kiss her, but its wasn't completely over the top, (misaki still likes to dress up like a girl and akira does have issues with not feeling like a real boyfriend for misaki)

At first I could not bear reading this manga, it's just too fricking ridiculous. The main girl really looks like a caricature of a shoujo manga bishounen, and the guy is over-the-top shoujo manga male romantic interest perverted prince. Plus the fact that they're in a band with a jillion fangirls just makes it so much cornier. But after not reading it for a very long time, I started again and was totally amused, exactly because of it's ridiculousness. It might get tiring eventually, but if you're not expecting anything serious, go read it.

I thought it was not bad but it was confusing for me to think that the girl is the man looking one and the guy is the girl looking one because, they sometimes don't act like it. They act like their complete opposite gender, I not a big fan of smut so I'm not that into it. The romance between the main characters is cute, similar to W Juliet but W Juliet is more of a gentle typical little kid romance.
