pretty good but absolutely, mind blowingly slowwwwwww

the story so far, world building, character development, character interaction are all pretty good. I would recommend trying it but the author is an absolute snail. at the start the plot is moving at moderate pace. but from around chapter 160ish, the speed is torturing. the author SPENDS TWO TO THREE CHAPTER DESCRIBING STUFF that could be done with atmost two paragraphs.
the, useless info dump is killing my interest in this novel.

NEW OPINION:
This author is bullshit. why does he keep repeating the same thing and fill up pages with junk info. I mean I just read new chapter. where first half he dpends describing the laws from bottom to top. the next half he describes THE SAME DAMN laws from top to bottom.

Slow but good

This story likes to explain things in detail and move at a slow pace. But that does not make the novel bad, rather I like it. It beats novels that move fast and makes the main character overpowered with no personality. I actually like the main character, has a nice personality that isn't hot blooded looking for revenge over and over again. Setting is nice since it explains how the village is like and how people act in the village.

How to Cultivate

The story is not bad, but the author focus a lot of time on explaining almost every technique and cultivation. Some technique or cultivation methods are described in details several chapters over. I understand he wants to be strong, but he has no nemesis or rival since the his first nemesis. the story is interesting enough to continue reading, but that is after skipping several paragraphs per chapter.

Completely agree with deathcoy on everything. Story-wise, this is a great novel, however the plot moves at a snail pace. There were so many times I was thinking: "damn, this is so long winded. I get it already, can you please move along?", while the author keeps droning on and on and on about the same thing.

Has big potential but too long winded...

Clearly one of the better Xianxia novels out there. Very mature writing, holds the attention of readers and generous in every aspect of content.

Our MC,Yi Yun was transported into a world of martial arts where strength is everything and the weak are slaves. He does get a sort of powerful ability/passive that helps in his cultivation and he also got lucky to bump into certain individuals who lend a helping hand. His circumstances at the start of the novel is extremely degrading, from there he has to persevere and work hard to carve his own legacy. Yi Yun has a principal where he will return kindness ten fold and maliciousness even more.

A few annoying things about this novel is its slow pacing and it is long winded. Sometimes too much trivia/info becomes a bog to the story and descriptions/scenes end up being pointlessly elaborate. The plot building and waiting becomes aggravating. The author also keeps reiterating several things needlessly, there is a reason why books have a glossary. After reading hundred over chapters, the story has only touched the tip of the iceberg. Don't get me wrong, the more content the better but useless details feels nothing more than fillers for word count. Furthermore the novel has some jarring plot holes, this might be nothing more than nitpicking but quite a sizable no. of readers have pointed this out to the author. Bottomline, author needs to practice a bit of moderation toward detail and tone down on the regurgitation.

Anyways, if you're interested in the Xianxia Chinese novel genre, this is a must read. Hopefully the novel will be translated till the end. I'm quite harsh on my reviews but True Martial World is probably one of the few novels i've given a score >7. It is good. Though do take this with a grain of salt, like i mentioned we're close to 300 chapters and the story is still at the introductory stage. In fact i'd admit its too early to put up a review. I hope the author does actually have an epic story to tell. I worry that the author gets burnt out and the mid to ending section of the novel land up being rushed.

The novel is based around the idea of the male protagonist being sent to another world. The character development is good because they don't make the protagonist to OP and he generally has to work hard in order to gain power. It's still in the early stages but I would recommend it to everyone because it's written very well...... Go to gravitytales.com and read.....
