What i dont like about the series is the super jumps and the way the fights turn out and the logic in them. First off i hate that naruto always pops kyuubi mode in evry fight, i know it looks "cool" but it gets old and its anoying that he beats people way beyond his skill level because of it. now at the last 100-200 chapters narutos gone from average to beyond kage lvl in just a couple of months (naruto months) first learning the Rasenshuriken that is supposed S lvl or beyond, then learning sage mode right after that, defeating Pain who has the Rinnegan = no fucking sense at all that fight was utter bullshit, dont take me wrong it looked awesome but the logic was somewhat retarded. the second naruto jumped down on the Shinra Tensie site pain cudve just used his Asura path to rocket on the toads, use the summoning pain to make the bird drop bombs on them, naruto wud have to jump away from the bombs and after the toads were occupied long enough and naruto getting all his jutsu attempts cockblocked by Preta path, deva path cudve blasted the toads away (like he did) the summoning pain cudve dealth with the geezer frogs and pain wudve just done like he did in the anime, pull naruto in, suck his chakra out. slam him to the ground with those chakra rods and knocked him out with his shinra tensie, but no ofc Pain who's defeated the entire rain country including Hanzou, killed jiraiya and 1 shotted the rokubi jinchuruki gets outsmarted by a (as earlier known) dumbass 15-16 year old and then gets once again saved by a rampaging fox. Then just a while after that naruto gets to learn how to control the kyuubi, giving him a power far beyond a Kage (his clones are enough to beat some of the strongest shinobi of all time) and who knows in the next 10 chapters maybe he will get the rinnegan, become the juubi host and be the next rikodou sennin. after that maybe he will turn out to learn a jutsu that kills any1 that he looks at.

This is your typical generic manga with generic characters and an annoying protagonist who evolves from being a whiny crybaby loudmouth cross dresser to an annoying eyesore(thats the only character development you'll get). The main problem with this manga is its inconsistent plot, first Naruto was a misunderstood boy who was hated for no reason other than being the vessel to a demon that destroyed the village and killed hunderds of villagers(totally unjustified hate), he wanted to be a hokage for no other reason than acceptance of the villagers, the manga was all in our face about his dreams of being a hokage and acceptance from fellow villagers this suddenly shifts to a new plot where his main goal in life becomes to saving a traitor friend(sasuke) who almost killed him because Naruto wanted his well being, all in all the plot keeps shifting like a its priorities to new ones.

Overall, dont read this, dont waste your time, this manga defines the word generic and lousy, and Kishimoto should just end it to save some face at least. I recommend you to read Full Metal Alchemist, Shingeki no Kyojin, One Piece.

Although the first part of the series was somewhat good, the timeskip was horrible, plot armor was in favor of the mains too much, and it was obvious taht the author was slowly picking off the bad guys. Although the recent war made some comebacks (such as the Zetsu Controversy and Ginkaku/Ginkaku), this series is just no good.

it was the first manga/anime i ever saw .. at first i was like best. manga. eveeeer but now it bores me but i still ''respect'' naruto even if i don't like it anymore. but since it's the editors who decides what's going on i don't blame Masashi Kishimoto

This is an amazing manga, and once you get in, you can't get out. What got me into it was the anime, the first three seasons of which were really awesome. When I got into the manga, which was when Shippuden was a couple dozen episodes in, I realized that Naruto hadn't changed AT ALL. He uses the same jutsus over and over again, with various different versions of the same jutsu being used. His attitude somehow always seems to get him in trouble, but it always saves him from danger and people secretly admire him for some unseeable reason. Sasuke is also very annoying. He wasn't even supposed to exist in the manga, but now he takes it over. I get that this is going in a direction that the mangaka has planned out, but I have a feeling that after more than a decade, he's done with this as well. Still, I recommend this for everyone. For the most part, all the other characters aren't so bad.

Naruto is still the best manga I've ever read. Maybe some of you think I'm exaggerating.
Still, It's the truth that Naruto IS the best manga (for me). Naruto has taught me that revenge isn't solution for our hate towards someone. It also taught me to treasure my friends because It's lonely without friends and so on.

Naruto is still the best of the Big 3 Aka One piece Bleach and of course Naruto. The only reason its rating was going down is because 1 troll made a comment about not liking Sasuke and it all went from hell there. Then suddenly every1 is changing there ratings and other trolls started making accounts and rating low. Any1 can spot a troll easy on Naruto forums or even on this site do to ther ignorance of the story such as O i read the first 30 ch and gave up but then they go and judge the whole 546 chapters based on the first 30? wtf lol. yah lets not forget the ignorance of trolls such as "Naruto finds enemy, gets his ass kicked, trains, ass kicked again, Sasuke either wins or follows suit with Naruto and them he goes fox" im looking at this like wtf are u reading lawl. Read naruto and follow Sasukes story closely hes a very very interesting char. there is nothing cliche bout this manga and the Believe it! stops 50 ch into it. We see both of them grow up and all the beginning questions and plots come together. People hate Sasuke becuz he can do what they cant simply put. He doesnt let people hold him down MUAHAHAHAHAH >.>

Ah, Naruto. This is what got me into anime (and then manga, because it's quicker to read than to watch). And I should point out that I rate by how much I enjoyed a series, rather than by pure quality. I could truly empathize with some of his lonely moments when I first watched the anime, when I was seventeen, as well as with his boundless energy and optimism. The first part of Naruto was fantastic, I think most people agree with that. Opinions differ about part 2, possibly because the secondary characters get a lot less screen time, most of the plot is about Naruto and Sasuke and building up to their fight. While I slightly miss the appearance of some of the old crew, I find myself barely caring. Perhaps I'm just so dazzled by the new array of ninja powers that display themselves, maybe I just like Akatsuki, but it's when Uchiha Madara appears that things get truly fun. Now we have conspiracies and wars and brotherly love(?) sprouting all over. Sure,it may follow the old staple plot of shounen manga that is 'new enemy, train, learn new powers, beat enemy with powers, repeat' but that is not necessarily a bad thing, and it does do it *very* well. Plus there's a rapping black man who can transform his limbs into octopus arms, what's not to like?
It's actually kind of fantastic.

I will say I'm somehow connected to "Naruto" since it was my very first manga and I've been following the story ever since I started reading it. Even though it is the typical shounen ("i gotta get stronger to beat up the bad guys") I don't mind it since it has so many characters and situations that never make it boring and also a nice dose of humor. The only thing that annoys me a little is Sasuke with his obsession for revenge blah blah blah... Other than that it is a great manga and which I recommend especially to beginners
