First chapter wasn't that bad but it all went down hill from there , I try to keep an open mind and stuff but I seriously wanted to backhand that silly Iku girl , I mean she cries so much it's annoying then Yori is a jerk , he acts so mean . I only recommend if you have absolutely nothing better to do with your time , but in the end if seen worse , it's still bad to me though

On Yori's defense I have only one thing to say:

Okay, I give in for the smut readers. But this manga has nothing in it. Everything is poor in development. And every chapter only deals with sex (dude, if he gives you oral sex, it IS still sex! It counts!) The world of this manga is just boring and shallow to the max.

By the description, the author praises shits out of the male lead's intelligence. But if he is THAT intelligence he will have thought better and stayed away from his lust, temptation and everything else in between with his sister. Oh well, worst case scenario, kill himself before making the dim-witted and absurdly naive sister falls in love with him (like in two freaking volumes).

If you like to read something with REAL INTELLIGENCE, this is NOT for you.

I agree with 1122shadows, people are overreacting just because there's incest on the description, when in fact this is good story which deals with taboo. Although I don't like how incest is portrayed in other mangas, this manga is an exception. This time, I support the couple's love for each other & sympathize with their struggles & sufferings because the society will never accept their love, thus they cannot be on a normal relationship together. You'll understand the depth of the story if you are an open minded reader. Anyway I liked how the mangaka ended this series. I ONLY recommend this series to mature readers, so if you hate smut & incest please don't read this manga.

Seriously people who read it until chapter 10 or 11 can't say a thing about it. It's a wonderful manga and it's not about "sex" it's about desire and sacrifices. To tell the truth [spoiler alert], Iori and Iku only actually "do it" 2 times throught the whole 10 volumes of the manga.
At some point, you even forget they are simblings and start to focus on their suffering to be together. Whoever suffered for love will certainly see themselves in this story...
Also it's completly different from Flowers of Evil, stop trying to compare them.
The characters don't have super powers, they are not politically correct at all times (who does?), they are just human.
It's a great manga (and I'm not even a big fan of incest stuff), congratulations Aoki Kotomi!

Very "angsty" manga, awkward at times. Like the time when they decided to have sex in a church, or Yori's mood swings. The ending is a let down, 10 year time skip is just too painful...I only managed to read the first 12 chapters and the ending...just too much; 4/10

Although I'm not against brother-sister love (I read Flowers of Evil and really enjoyed it), I have to say this story is just disgusting. It's all about sex and nothing else T_T How could such a story received a Shogakukan Manga Award @.@ Can't believe it ++

After reading Flowers of Evil, I was all for the incest thing. But this serie is just plain crap.
It basically goes like this: sex, Iku crying, more sex, Yori still being an asshole, even more sex over and over again. ANGST ANGST ANGST. T____T
I couldn't even read past chapter 11, let alone 40+ chapters.

Seriously, that's all Iku does! She cries!
Whether it's about having too much on her phone bill (over $200!) or not being able to hear Yori's voice...she just cries!
I know, this is a shoujo manga, so it's bound to be somewhat cliche, but this just gets ridiculous.
I've never read a manga where the female character was THIS ANNOYING.

I really wanted to give this manga a chance and read it through till the end because I thought it would be interesting, but.. -___________-" the latest chapter update, chapter 39 just pissed me off so much. Iku's stupidity went beyond comprehension and so did Yori's when he decided to I've never read a manga with so many annoyingly stupid characters in my life. I think Aoki's character developments were just terrible. Only Yano was somewhat okay.

The plot is just...I have no idea where it's going now. It seems like Aoki was throwing in as many twists and cliches into this manga to make it interesting, but chapter 39 had too much going on..I don't want to continue reading this manga anymore because of it. I'm surprised I even got so far.

And about the incest, I don't really care because it's just a story. Besides, I don't believe they're siblings at all.
