Really warm and fluffy

I really like the atmosphere in this manga and the way the story is presented, especially with the POV switch in the middle. It's refreshing to find a somewhat realistic portrayal of a same-sex relationship in a BL manga. I was pleasantly surprised to find that one of the MCs is gay instead of the usual "if it's you it's okay" situation (I disagree with the bisexual category because he straight up said he wasn't attracted to girls
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
and that he only had sex with that girl in middle school because he couldn't come to terms with his sexuality.

Looking forward to read more of this. I've never read Ichikawa Kei's manga before but I definitely will now.

It was great and all, funny too, but the only thing that made me stop reading it was
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
that terashima was the bottom :( it was probably really obvious to some lol I don't know I just really wanted narasaki to bottom, the cover is a little misleading haha oh well hopefully they'll switch?

That's really the only thing, I'll keep tabs on this manga tho

Too cute.

Too cute it hurts my soul.

The subtle romance is killing me! I usually don't care for kuudere-like types, but to see them get under each other's skin is so satisfying~ <3 All my favourite fictional couples are high-strung and in intense types of relationships. This is the exact opposite, and it's really nice too.
It uses subtle tropes I've never encountered in BL manga before to build the relationship. I thought it would be a bit boring, but it's actually awfully cute.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Also, the tachi character looking up how to gay sex on his phone right before doing it... AHAHAHAHA /beats the wall

Certain scenes have me practically screaming my head off and banging into the wall, haha...
The characters are really different, and the atmosphere and tone are realistic and soothing.

There is one problem, of course. One that's rather ubiquitous in BL manga.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Dammit tachi-san, if the neko tells you to stop, stop. D< Sigh... at least it was realistic.

An essential read for both BL connoisseurs and amateur appreciators.

I have been reading yaoi for 15 years now, and this is such a breath of fresh air. So many stupid tropes avoided, so many genuine romantic moments. I love the occasional awkward moment that you really do have to work out in relationships, and how just when you thought a character might fall into a flat stereotype they become three dimensional and full of life -- greatly aided by switching pov every few chapters. My only complaint is why maintain the "friendship" with the creepy potential rapist older guy? Better to confide in nobody if he's the only option! But all the same, that's a minor niggle as no rape happens and it's not played for drama/hurtcomfort/whatever. Cannot wait for subsequent chapters. Also, I find the art really stunning -- especially some of the facial expressions.

like it first but...

i did like it first and still think it have better storytelling than most of the yaois out there but... after they get together I realize their relationship is not satisfying me and something is missing. That natural flow of the characters and story go down from there. Maybe I expected too much from a yaoi series... Anyway that's way I returned here and lowered my rating from 10 to 8... But still have to say it is good and every yaoi fan should read it...

This is one of the best shounen-ai's I have ever read, and I'm usually pretty picky since if there isn't any yaoi I want an awesome plot. This manga definitely exceeded my expectations. There's no unnecessary love triangles, non-con, or a rushed love, which is unfortunately all too common in the BL world. The art's great and the plot is nicely paced with likeable characters and wrapped up quite nicely, what more could you ask for?

This is amazing. I'm really touched! It had everything I love in a good story: quiet leaders, deliquent and, yet, very sincere boy, pretty touching art work and... SO MANY FEELINGS!!!!!!! <3 This was a gift from heavens.

Storytelling as it should be

You can't really say that this story is unique, but there's something about it that's just so fresh and intriguing. I love the unique voices of both the main characters. When you're seeing the story from each of their points of views, you really feel like each is alive and different. This is what all writers should strive for. Basically this is an ode to Ichikawa Kei's amazing storytelling ability. Her instincts and talent for character development are nothing short of perfection. Not to mention, her art is fantastic. It's wonderful to see that such good writing/storytelling exists not only in the BL genre, but also in manga in general. As always, my only complaint is that her works are never long enough smile

Very funny, light yaoi manga (rather sho-ai) with a really good art. I mean it's not that angsty, smutty, dark kind of yaoi but it's not flat, boring or plotless. It's a great, refreshing story that will catch your attention and make you wonder how the things will turn out till the last chapter. The characters seems to be a real people, I like that feeling. They have a background, everything is nicely developed. Also I liked mangaka's sense of humour.
The only complaint is that it's too short. I'd really love to see more about this couple. It's a great choice if you look for sth not too heavy. Enjoy!

Exactly what I look for in a BL manga: very sweet couple, nicely developed, and avoids most stereotypes. I love how it was resolved as well, and Terashima's reaction to being "rejected" in the last chapter is priceless (realisitic and adorable). The art is pretty unique too. Overall, a must read.
