I have been into manhwa lately because the illustrations in them are pretty much different from manga's.
I started reading this series not too long ago. Im on volume 4 right now. Obviously there are more than that, so my review will be based on 4 volumes of Model.
I must say that I was attracted to this series because of the unique plot. I have not read anything like it. It's original. Most of what I read are action/ romance/comedy/scifi.
This is almost completely supernatural. There's romance in there also, but it's definitely not your typical love story.
It's a lot more complicated than that.
There's a lot of mysteries in the manhwa and unfortunately or furtunately (depends on your preferences) we readers are left in the dark most of the time. Luckily the female lead is a very curious girl. I admit she is getting annoying with her constant questions, but it's not as bad as it sounds. she can be quite lovable.
As I said, i like most manhwa's illustrations. this is no exception. the art is really good. very detailed and completely different from your every-day mangas. the illustration is angled and not smooth, but it creates a different atmosphere, which I don't exactly hate. Talking about illustrations, all the characters are beautiful--and they all somewhat look like girls. not that bad of a point. really.
The series is good so far! one secret after another is being revealed, though a LOT of things are still confusing.
Try it.

There were a lot of things I didn't like about this manga. For example, Micheal looked like a woman. I'm pretty sure Michael was supposed to be portrayed as a very beautiful male vampire, but I guess that didn't work out so good; he ended looking like your typical pretty woman. Jae looked good though; kind of like a tomboy but still maintain her chick physiques.
I didn't like how this was supposed to be a deal between Michael and Jae; trading her blood in exchange for him to model for her and it ended going to his past. And it sucks that she fell in love with a female-looking vampire instead of Michael's son, the male who ACTUALLY looks like a male. The characters look kind of floppy, like their limbs have no bones or something and they move their legs around by flopping them. But overall, I think Michael's past does make sense (not the best past). I admire Michael's son's courage for trying to convince Jae to fall in love with him instead but fails. That's about the only part I liked.

i got really addicted to this manhwa but mostly because i didn't know wtf was going on, so i kept on reading on to figure it out. the plot had potential, but everything seemed to be a bit messy. it was hard to understand what was going on. for example, there were a few parts where it would flip to scene that had nothing to do with what was going on or it would flip back and forth from the past and present. i just wish it had been organized better, but with all my complaints about it, i still enjoyed the story very much. the art is pretty good. i don't read anything with awful drawings, so i'd give the art a 9 probably.

The art is so gorgeous that I've given this a higher rating than it perhaps deserved.
The problem is that nothing makes sense. The author introduces so many questions, and only very few of them are fully answered. Scene changes happen before you've figured out what was happening in the previous scene. Characters come and go without the reader finding out who they actually were in relation to the main characters. The motivations of the characters are often impenetrable. Even the ending was obscure. I'm sure inside the author's mind this all made sense but I'm afraid she just makes the reader work too hard in trying to work out what's happening. It just was not enjoyable, which is a shame because it certainly had potential.

i frickin' love Lee So Young.
as quoted from KittyTeea....
"To be honest I don't even understand why this manga was labeled as shoujo."
'it's labelled as shoujo??' is what i first thought and scrolled up to see with my own eyes. but i agree, i dont' understnad why it's labelled shoujo at all...it's more like...josei? anyway, definite read. you miss out if you dont read this, man. i know not everyone likes the artwork..(i love effeminate boys.) but the story is interesting - though hard to keep up with at some points.. so be prepared.

"The development of the relationship between Jae and Michael is lovely to watch. I am more than willing to overlook some of the "plotholes" of the story because no romance/mystery manga has captivated me so much."
I agree. The relationship of Jae and Michael was indeed captivating. I'm not very big on vampire romances but this one was layed out in such an effective way that you care about them. I would love to read from this author again.

At first I shied away from this manga because of the artwork, but I came back later in an effort to finish it. Luckily for me the story proved to be absolutely beautiful. I love the atmosphere that the author has created, and I like how everything is shrouded in mystery. The development of the relationship between Jae and Michael is lovely to watch. To start with I don't like the artwork, indeed the scenery is beautiful, but I don't like the male characters, they're way too effeminate. The story is dragged for too long, really at points it bored me to death, maybe because it wasn't any romance in the first half. I admit the mysteries kept my interest, and I just loved the dark atmosphere. I also liked that the heroine was a galaxy away from the typical shoujo crybabies. To be honest I don't even understand why this manga was labeled as shoujo. But the thing that really made me read on was the strong feeling the author put in this work.

Even though it was confusing at times, it was so beautiful. The fabrication of the words in the story was captivating. Needless to say, it was quite complex. The art is absolutely gorgeous too, and the plot was nice. :H
I loved the ending. Absolutely freakin' adored it. A++

very captivating...
some of the words used were almost poetic
however everything was a bit TOO mysterious! even after reading it i only have a vague understanding of everything. how she fell in love with michael still is beyond me. that part was a bit abrupt...and how does ken actually feel about her? was it true love? or lust or a craving for somebody to love him!?
there are too many unanswered questions
besides that i think the art is lovely...the heroine kinda reminds me of the girl from perfect girl evolution.
