Highly enjoyable.

I was seriously on a roller coaster on this one. The art is beautiful, and the Midori in the beginning is strongly reminiscent of that girl from Bitter Virgin. Then her brother saves her and they get serious brother/sister complexes. As a fan of incest manga, I find myself really enjoying this series. I don't care that the mangaka was caught for ripping off Inoue Takehiko's art. I'm following this series till the bitter end.

Well done, but legal sexual abuse in Japan very annoying!

First, I have no clue whether sexual abuse is or is not legal in Japan and I do not know whether the victim's name is or is not protected. In either case, this story says it's not, that the abuser gets to do pretty much what he wants, and that there are a lot of other abetters of sexual abuse in that country. I found that to be a very annoying aspect of the story.

2nd, there's only so much stupid, weak, helpless chick I can stand (2 volumes) before I say this is a story for guys who like helpless chicks. As a chick who hates helpless chicks stories, I'm done with the story. I'll go back to reading about 90-lb chicks who can beat up 300-lb guys smile

Discontinued.

I really love this series its a pity that it got cut and i guess its bad if the author copied panels, but its a real pity because the story is very moving... love it!

i just finished reading off whats translated so far and i gotta say its fantastic, its like what i read in a review (i think it was here) that its more like a Josei rather than a shojou.. and i gotta say i agree with them.

Its got a good pace and it hasent got any typical shojou tendancies (although i hope they stick to the whole main girl x main guy tendancy in there) all the characters are fantastic including the main girl herself and that glasses boy to (forgot his name) he is such a sweet heart... Tokio to... and Masamune just rocks as well XDDD (gotta love the joke in chapter one.)

Anyways i totally reccomend this to anybody who has a civil mind.

Also.. i hope things go well for Tokio in the end...

I've read the first 5 volumes of this story and I've loved it. Its very unfortunate about the controversy surrounding this series meaning it will never be completed sad

In any case, really well paced story. I adore Tokio, hope he gets his girl biggrin Midori, while not particularly likeable herself, has a lot of depth and interesting dark backstory, she stands as a good contrast to her brother. Midori is starting to grow on me.
I also love the other brother and sister (Tokio's adopted family) I forget the names! But they really make me laugh. I really really want to read the rest of this story!

I do like the story and the characters a lot! Except Midori... I know she's been through a lot, but I find her personality definitely annoying! ;( Poor Hashiba-chan! xD

Darker and more complex than the typical shoujo manga, Eden no Hana is a gripping read. Midori is one of my favorite shoujo heroines ever, because she isn't one of those ridiculously genki, brainless types. She's deep and conflicted and hurt, but she's strong enough to have survived her fractured past.

I really hope things work out for her. I've never felt this worried about a character before...
