I enjoyed reading this. Some people complain about the artwork, but I find it quite nice.
The story had a pretty cool 'secret idol' premise at the start which tied in with the gender bender, but it was very short lived and ended up focusing on the romance side more.
If you're looking for something like Full Moon wo Sagashite or Hana Kimi where the main focus is on the music/performance and/or secret identity, you won't be satisfied with this. But if you're more into the romance aspect and lives of idols in general, this will entertain you.

Do you like realistic storylines? Please do not read this!
Do you like gender bender? I recommened this manga!
Do you like idol bands or You are beautiful? Read this!
Dont you mind average art? Try this one.
Is hana kimi crazy and fun? Dont try this, this manga is way to boring for you.
Do you participate with girls crying when they are suffering bad times and being comforted by some hot guy? Read this.
Are you annoyed with crying girls? Please dont challenge you with this manga. But the heroine has her strong moments too....
I am reading now the 15th chapter. Up till now the manga has everything a good gender should have.
Are they so stupid-to-notice moments to ups-they-have noticed or have they noticed- is he falling in love with him?
Argh! Just check it out yourself!

It's ok. The plot is nice, but the art is not that great at all.
I seriously don't know what I expected from shoujo, but I really don't like mangas that the main girl cries so much. Sigh. It gets irritating after so many times. Haha. She's not a very strong character, but she's kind and helpful--that's her charm. But I still am not liking her character. I'm going to stop reading it. I'm saying it's bad, but it's just not something I can keep reading...

I'm not sure why Ichigo Channel has received so many mediocre or negative reviews. I quite enjoyed it. It's true that it's no great shakes when it comes to depth of plot and so on, but if you're looking for a sort of cushiony romance, an 'everything ends up aww' sort, it's the way to go. I liked the plot, the way Ichiko matured over time, and the art was nice enough to keep me going.
That's not to say it couldn't have been better. I wish, for instance, that Ichiko had been a much stronger character much earlier on. Yeah, she grows up and begins to stand up for herself, but it doesn't happen until later on. I was also pretty annoyed by how famous Trijet got when one of their members wasn't even taking it seriously... and so easily, too, without any mention of talent! Ichiko and her brother were really just randomly picked off the street, and right away, they act and sing like pros. It rather puts down people in showbiz who work hard for their fame. The excessively unrealistic beginning may turn many readers off; and both Ichiko and Kanzaki are at their worst there, too; Ichiko's got self esteem problems and Kanzaki's just harsh.
Overall, however, it was a good story. Once I started getting into the meat of it, I enjoyed it and read right to the end. I hope the author learnt a lot from this manga and makes another, better one.

The art was slightly worst than your average shoujo. The plot was bizzare and choppy at MANY times. I mean, too many "as it is" kinda incidents that just happen for no reason whatsoever.
The gender bender is the only thing that kept me going. Nonetheless, i really disliked all the chraracters. Someone please tell me why it got such high ratings!
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Besides, the romance; how can two guys just meet her, decide to hang out and then claim to have fell in love with her? And her with her strange and almost non-existant existance as a female with the guys, how does she even end up "liking" them?

seems like i am not the only one who hated the ending. I didn'
t only hate the ending, I did also hate the whole manga.. somehow the whole manga is very weird, and I would be appier if the manga wasn't so long, i mena most of the parts are just weird. i just don't understand the plot.. the synopsis sounded very good, and the heroine sounded strong, (at elast for me) But after reading few pages I became very angry. so mad! what a weird manga, most of the twisted parts are just weid I couldn't understand it. I say again, it'd be better if it wasn't so long.
sorry for my weird english

A light hearted Eh. Well, part of my opinion is that; I liked how the heroin always tried to be stronger when she became weak.
[Possible Spoiler~] Though I didn't like how the male protagonist seemed to be hurting her so deeply, and how she took everything so seriously, like he really could say something and it would hurt her so much, even though he was acting. I wish there was something to justify why he acted like that, like his point of view. I couldn't tell at all if his heart was screaming that he loved her, while he told her he'd never kiss her. [over~] Bleh. I mostly hated the last few chapters because much of their scenes had the power to make my heart hurt. Well, I was the one who got attached to the characters after a while. *sweatdrop* I kind of noticed that when the two main protagonists were kissing at different times, one seemed to be prettier than the other, but it wasn't actually like any one held the spot of being prettiest. Wow. All I can think of are insults to the wonderful Mangaka. I really think that this manga was worthwhile in it's own way, but would not be something I'd do back flips over to get. Simple as that.

This manga is kinda boring, and there are so many better guys Ichiko could end up with, or maybe they actually make a pretty good couple since they are both dumb. I just hate crybaby heroines and immature guys. Really she should have ended with Tendo, he really cared for her; and the heroine ending with a different guy than the main lead would have been a quite interesting twist.
And another thing, the first half is indeed gender bender and it's quite good i admit, but starting from vol5 it just changes and it gets worst and worst; it feels like two completely different stories are stuck together to get more volumes on the market. It just sucks.
Well the artwork is fine i guess, i don't think it's as bad as others said.

i don't like that guy. I find the girl an IDDIOT for continuing to pursue the guy when he hurts her over and over and over again. She has many other options: guys who are better than K a hundred times! She's just a fool. K is so selfish and never once consider her feeling...the story is such a drag.....i am very dissappointed that i waste 49 chapters reading this
dont like it
