I really liked this manga, even though it was sad at times. ^_^ I like to cook, though, so it was intesting, but even if you don't, I think you can really understand the main characters feelings.

Its bad but good at the same time ARRGH, picked it up on a whim and read the whole thing in one shot, then when i hit the last chapter (scanned) i was WTF NOOOOOOO, and promptly ran into my kitchen and grabbed a cookie, TT i want more. A little more serious now, its very cliched and can run some what hectic but is still good.

Your lovable Shoujo manga.

SCroll DOwn. (to the reviews near the end of the page)

There are so many people who love it. Its one of those things you love after you get past the overly upbeat and vivacious main character. You'll be able to see the depth in the plot and the characters attitudes and emotions. Everything develops very well.

I felt for Najika and her loss of Sora, and Daichi's one sided love and Akane's jealousy. I felt the emotions in every bit of this manga. And I got a couple of cool recipes out of it too.

SRSLY. Read it. Give it a go, it only gets better,

Very boring

Criticism (1)
The art is not proportional. It looks very ''amateur''.
The characters dont look nice at all...
huge eyes + small mouth + small chin = Balloon head.
Criticism (2)
Very Very unoriginal plot.
The usual love-triangle. The usual obstacles to love. The usual weak, sobby heroine. The usual "look for the prince campaign" except its "look for the prince that gave me the fork" this time.
Criticism (3)
The author tried in vain to:
1) make readers sympathize and go "aww" whenever the main character laughs, smiles, jumps around, or cries. Basically by adding these flowery, shoujo-typical backgrounds in all the panels she is seen to interact with someone. Ha. Oh and she is teary eyed most of the time anyway.
2) make readers fall in love with the male leads. They look weird because of the balloon head syndrome which is typical within this manga-world biggrin
So i feel more sorry for them than actual adoration bigrazz
3) make it original~ by adding the element of a special "fork".
So...unless the author wanted this manga to be original in the sense of how horrible it is...it is not that bad yet...so...
---obviously, the author has failed biggrin

Conclusion
Everything is predictable. Its good for beginners. So...Probably perfect for the me without any experience in anime or manga or books. Oh and it would have to be when i didn't have a sense of 'beauty' too, 'cause the art is quite unbearable to me.
i believe...
its simply...not worth your time. There are loads of mangas out there thats way better than this. WITH BISHIES and not guys with inflated heads! Go Go Go~

This is a really cute series.
Perhaps too cute in my book.
For some reason, I can't stand Najika. She's like a plastic block, hardly realistic in my eyes. She's like a Mary-Sue. She cries floods every chapter and then by the next three pages or so, she has this extremely large grin on her face. You can't even take her seriously when she gets angry. And to have the whole school bullying her because of her talent? I think that's overused and cliche. Also, Najika never loses in a competition. Either she wins or it's always a tie. (I actually like Akane better because of the amount of character development for her.)

It's very predictable. Stereotypical shoujo. Najika's cooking is enjoyable. It's fun to see how she handles her competitions and what she cooks up for the judges. It would recommend it to pre-teens and those who are younger.

Cute, but predictable

While it is a stereotypical shoujo, consisting of the usual happy-go-lucky girl with a tragic past who hides it all and is searching for the boy of her past that made her smile. All/most characters have some secret past or background or sad experience she helps them overcome and never helps herself, finds two boys that love her and she is too oblivious to realize the obviousness of it.... exc, exc. Very reminiscent of Fruits Basket's Tohru Honda. Very sweet with amazing artwork and beautiful pictures. The plot is starting to become a bit more unique along with the character development. For now, this is still a 10 in my book.

I don't know why, but I suddenly discovered I have a thing for cooking stories and this manga is no exception! I figure by now I would be tired of the general stereotypical shoujo plot, but I was pleasingly surprised by the multiple underlying themes and the artwork is very appealing. The heroine is very optimistic and considerate towards others. Of course I am very anxious to find out which one of the twins she is going to end up with biggrin but I guess I'll have to wait!
