The thing that drew me to this manga was the surreal art, I was glad I read it! morbid, dark story was fascinating... I couldn't stop reading! And when they mean mind-break... they mean mind-break. Trust me.
sense this story make none.

it maybe a social commentary, or a metaphor or whatever, but it is very weird and surreal and i dont understand it. it's like reading doctor seuss - it is sure entertaining, but the message to eat rotting looking green food is what i get, and i know that's the wrong message. the art is nice, its work very well with the absurd story it convey. all in all, read this if you want to try something new.

this was simple yet the message it held was overpowering
the man in the story is an average man, with an average job and an average life.
through the daily repitition of the same events; he grew disheartened, desperate and unhappy.
struggling against the alarming evenlessness of his life
he sets out on a journey.
the man learns to appreciate the preciousness of "average"
this was very interesting, it will make you think twice next time you complain about how "boring" your life is.

Disturbing, surreal, and complex beyond its premise, Kono Sekai no Owari e no Tabi is very good. The protagonist's struggle against repetition, and the variety of relevant themes to pull out of the work only serve to form a minor part of its excellence, which is primarily created through its dreamlike atmosphere. The art style is unique and aids the story itself greatly, helping to actually make the disturbing scenes feel disturbing, and make the reader ponder the symbolic meaning behind much of it.
There are better works in the genre, but this is extremely underrated. I can only hope that someone takes pity upon me and finishes the scanlation someday.

Beautiful artwork with slight tragic overtones and a somewhat morbid theme carves a fairly eclectic and unique piece. If you enjoy a manga with matured themes and unique artstyle, then I'd recommend this.
