Description

Takuma and Mayu's story began when they were only 8 years old. During his childhood, Takuma was constantly hospitalised due to his heart condition. He soon became friends with Mayu, the daughter of the doctor in charge of his case. Day by day they grew closer and closer. However, the summer when Takuma was 8, he made a promise to Mayu that he couldn't keep... Their story unfolds as they grow older and their bond gets stronger...
This manga received the 53rd Shogakukan Manga Award for shoujo manga.

I love this series so far. I kinda want Takuma to heal and be able to be with Mayu forever... but if that happens, then I know I'll be a little disappointed. Because, we all know that in reality that doesn't happen, so it will seem a little unrealistic.
Even if it's a manga, I kinda am expecting him to... not make it. What Mayu does after that, I'm not sure. We'll see how it goes and we'll see if it affects my rating any...

I had a heart attack when I saw this manga's infinitely good quality. I was surprised because her other manga, the "I Love My Sister" one was so bad, but this one has me on my toes.

the last volume + the turn of events that it had with certain characters...
it was amazing. i haven't cried this hard in a while..
this is a must read- each of the 12 volumes truly move your soul- and opens your perspective on the human desire to live and how we take it for granted.

Yeah,it's sad,but cute at the same time.Though I'm expecting this to have a sad ending.May even get a bit disappointed if it doesn't.
Because it seems that this is an realistic manga,and people don't get miraculously healed..Well,only time will tell.

I personally love this manga! its soo heart breaking! and i loved it soo much that i resorted to readin raws XP and let me tell you theres some juicy stuff in there! i really hope that one day this manga actually gets licensed because i would buy it straight away! and i really want it! hopefully! *fingers crossed*
they're only preteens but they look so much older.
i usually ask for a sad ending to top things off with a sigh and a bitter smile, but this one i'm really hoping that there will be a happy ending.

This manga shouldn't be read by a person that have an heart attack.. *joke*.. by the state of the manga its obvoius that this makes you cry til' the end of the story... tears just flowing down my face and I needed tissue... grrrrrr*... I am so desparate to see the ending... those couple what happen to them.. also the scanlation is just to slow.. I wonder what happen....!!.. Dont really want to cry but I wanna see this manga so much!!

this is so sweet i like it when she mades him promise something when she knew he couldnt as they grow things start to change he becomes a lot protective then when he was younger and also the girl grows as well its so sweet and sad if one of them 2 die i am so positive ima cry gosh i'm such a crybaby things get to me very quickly and there i go looking for the angsty things wouldr reccomand it but not to ppl who cant stand character death
