i absolutely loooove this manga,cause its funny and i love the love triangle it puts cause its funny!!!!!!!!
how she hates him and looks for revenge(though its funny to see how she does it) and it not taken seriously at times but it does have its serious moments, i likes it cause she tries her best in every thing she does, anf i like mangas of how the main character turns enemies into friend and stuff.

Okay, the truth is. I watched Skip Beat anime 2 years ago. I loved it. And wished there will be a sequel since I didnt read manga before. But now that I am a self proclaimed manga addict, I started reading Skip Beat.

The first chapter, Didnt really like it cause Kyoko is so overactive. Like she gets worked up for simple things. It wasnt cute at all for me. Then I kept on reading, got hooked up. Got used with Kyoko's hyper personality. For me, it was just too tacky. I started really liking it when Ren actually admitted to himself his feelings for Kyoko. I just love their chemistry, even though their romance is really slow phased, I still love it, ONLY BECAUSE I AM READING IT LIKE A MARATHON. But if I really read it from 2002 and its now 2012, AND THEY STILL HAVENT PROGRESSED AT ALL, I would stop reading it. I mean, HELLO 10 YEARS AND STILL NO DEVELOPMENT!? And What I also hate is that there are too many non sense dialog, not straight to the point.

But I still like it because of the comedy (but im really getting tired of the "comedic" way of Kyoko being so hyped up by simple things and being "unable to love). I only laugh loud when Yoshiro is teasing Ren. Cause thats the only part of the manga I love. And I get bored whenever there are tooooooooooo many dialogs on how to act. Its so unnecessary, the length of thinking I mean.

But yeah its good.

I'm glad that I judged this manga on it's high rating and not due to some negative comments because of that Skip Beat now is my all time favorite next to Basara, Dengeki daisy, bokura ga ita and Kare Kano.
I love the slow romance on this manga because I've read so many manga that once the two characters starts dating they will eventually loose the chemistry. Although there are some exceptions like Bokura Ga Ita and Kare Kano.

To all the new readers: Skip Beat is a full packed manga complete with comedy, angst, ambition witty heroine, lovable side characters and heartwarming scenes .

Just a warning you'll get hook once you start reading this manga. You will wish that the author will release the next chapter daily rather than bi-monthly.

well I do love this manga but It's getting tiring recently , I mean come on there is just 1 chapter every month and in 1 chapter nothing happens !! But couse i love Ren & kyouko I read this manga !
I hope It gets better or finally finishes after 10 years !!

People call this a slow romance but the word slow indicates progress. For the last 10 years there has been zero progress in this manga. There seems to be plenty of friendship in this manga, but actual romance is not here. This manga has been going on so long that I'm afraid the author will die before finishing.

Skip Beat is an amazing manga! It is very funny, and will keep you wanting for more. I think fellow readers should cut the author some slack. She releases only one chapter a month. I believe the story would move alot faster is she would do two chapters a month. Would you prefer to read a continuing story arc or just every chapter would be episodic. I think the story should pick up its pace. This is the same problem Vampire knight is having right now. Skip Beat should change from monthly serialization to bi-monthly serialization.

Skip Beat started out good and funny, it moved on with good speed but the latest chapters with Cain siblings were tiring and somehow boring. It had a few good parts but overall it was tiring to read it. That is why I have dropped my rating from 9 to 8, but I hope I can raise it back.

But the reason why I haven't stopped reading the series is because I love Kyoko, Ren and Shou. They are great and funny. And since now the Cain arc has ended I think, I hope it goes on and the story develops a bit.

Skip Beat is one of the longest shoujo series I have read so far and its good but not the best one I have read.

I can understand some people saying that the series is slow. Indeed, character development is not the best when it comes to Kyoko, and the slow release is also killing the manga.

However, I really like the series. Around ch. 140 is the Cain Siblings. It has darkness and a gothic feel to it, but I really like that part of this manga too. It has it's comedic scenes and it's a good change. It is also the important development of Tsuruga Ren and showing the little things that haunt him. Honestly I am enjoying the gothic clothes and the arc, showing Ren in a totally different light.

I absolutely love Ren and Sho. Both have certain faults but are not extremely bad. Honestly I would not be able to choose one for Kyoko. So, I applaud the magaka since most of the time I would already know which guy is best.

One of my favorite manga/anime. I read it like 10 times. I don't know what people mean by a dragging plot because it isn't at all! It is still extreamly interesting. I think it has the potential for a lot more chapters. I have read this manga at least 3 times and i still find it interesting. I'm dying for chapters to come out faster though. This is a must read!

Good story line but the development is slow. It's definitely one of the best shoujo manga out there but for fans who are impatient, especially with cliff hangers, should probably wait a couple of years for an arc to finish. I can think of a couple of arcs to skip over since Im more interested in the romance of it.

I bought this manga because I love it but I didn't think it would be this long! The room on my shelf is running out. lol.
