Description
Japan in the future has a massive over-population problem. Scientists have traced the root of this problem to one particular individual, Junta Monamari. According to their records, Junta was a "Mega-Playboy" who had sired children with over a hundred women. Each one of his sons had inherited the Mega-Playboy gene too, so the problem grew exponentially from thereon. Enter Karin Aoi, a "DNA Operator". Junta's DNA can only be altered by shooting him with a special bullet called DCM which contains the chemical for suppressing the Mega-Playboy DNA. In return, Karin gets a vast sum of money... enough to make all her dreams come true. Will Junta become the playboy he is destined to be, or will his better self prevail? But Karin is falling for the real Junta too... and what of the sweet and kindly Ami who has secretly loved Junta all her life? What will happen to future Japan?

i have to agree, although i liked this series, it comes nowhere near my love of Video Girl Ai...one of the reasons being the ending. i hate sad endings, and while dna didnt have a necessarily sad one, it was confusing. def thought karin was comin round to junta, then bam, he wakes up without memories and shes all like, damn homie, im a pro, lets go Back To The Future..so while still one of my favs, i love VGA more
That's it?

I thought that it would start really comical and then later on go being serious but, maybe its was just my own expectations.. Unsettling ending for me even though we could assume the obvious..
Junta reminded me of that duelist on having similar hair styles as well as that dual personality and then would seem like one of those Saiyans from Dragonball..

Terrible. The worst manga I've ever come across. I couldn't even bear put up with it to the end, which is apparently awful even for fans of this, Just not my scene, the character development was poor, all the characters were one-dimensional and the plot was ridiculous. Maybe would have enjoyed it more if I had been a bit younger but then again the constant ecchi just grated on my nerves. I failed to see anything remotely resembling humour, just lame toilet jokes (so to speak)

i wanted to give this an 7 for a unanswered ending, i mean i didnt really care who he ended up with ami or karin (but preferrably ami) but at least make the ending better. i gave this a 9 cause the character development kept haunting me good character development and weird plot. coulda been 6 volumes but its fine.

Man I remember when I saw the anime and I thougth the superplayboy is a Goku clone in the fight with that rich dude whose name ain't even worth remembering.
In short, it's a poor story. It doesn't come close to his other works Video Girl Ai & I's. Though Karen is one of his cutest chars (the cutest is Ai). Half of this manga is obnoxious while the other half is quite nice. I liked the Junta / Karen / Ami & her friend scenes but the rich guy / pretty girl / superplayboy were annoying.

like Rich guy still ends up with pretty girl; I really thougth what idiot writing. My 11 year old niece writes better stories for her school. If I would had the manga I would've ripped those pages apart. the last page with Karen saying "I'm a professional" is just a major let down in stead of a grand finale. It's like you're expecting to find a gold bar but you end up with a steel bar; It fails were Video Girl Ai succeeded

This manga was strange from start to finish, but I could accept that. The ending, however, I just loathed. All this romantic build-up between Junta and several different ladies was tossed out the window in the span of only a few pages.
This manga was good, but not great. With a better ending it could have been. I feel generous giving it an 8.

I only have two problems with it.
***SPOILER***SPOILER***SPOILER*** ALERT~~~
The other problem is the script. The most cliché lines are used, I swear I thought I was reading something from the 1920-50's. I've seen some of those old movies, and I swear the script in this manga was just like those.

The first one happens to be the ending, it was pure poop to me. Most of the girls in it just "went away" or something. Never says what happens to them clearly. Then Junta and Ami -- it's never stated what happens to them, do they get married? Did Junta get turned back to normal? All those questions unanswered.
