The art is great (Zen is so cute, and Shirayuki's so pretty), and the story is awesome. Has a refreshing, unique peaceful atmosphere that just really makes you feel good inside. Shirayuki is so strong and determined, a really great and different heroine from the usual shoujo.
And, the romance between Zen and Shirayuki is SOOO fluffy. Each chapter has a scene where it's just so sweet and cute and I just want to squeal everytime I see it. It's a manga that doesn't make you stressed out or tensed up, but still great enough to keep your interest.

I absolutely love this manga. I agree with kitten1011. It's starts out like the original fairy tail snow white, but then spins off to something totally different.
Shirayuki (snow white) is really cool because she's not only smart and independent, but she also has some common sense. She can take care of herself. She's very kind and couragous.
Not only does this manga have a good plot and good characters, but it also has really great art, which is kind of rare. Some mangas have good plots and characters, and cruddy art or vice versa. BUt this manga has it all.
I would personally recommend this manga to anyone who is into the girl characters taking care of herself rather than having someone else take care of her.

Every once in a great while there comes along a manga so well written and drawn that it’s impossible to dislike. This is one of those. While the reasons for people liking it vary greatly, I find myself drawn because of only 2 of them.
The first being the simplistic, clean, yet beautiful artwork. Some may say that it’s nothing special, that it’s too simple and too ordinary. Although it may seem that way at first, if one looks deeper, they’ll find the artwork lends itself to showing a wide array of expressions and emotions. The backgrounds are also rendered superbly, with just enough detail to make world feel fleshed out, yet not so much as to get in the way of the story. Also (and this is my personal favorite reason), the artwork is perfect for coloring. I believe my best coloring job is a 2 page spread in this manga.
The second reason I love this manga is because of the things that are NOT said. While most mangaka would express things like anger or annoyance through the overuse of sfx and over the top super-deformed drawing, Akizuki-san rarely, if ever, uses them. Instead, she writes the scenes in such a way as the emotions are subtly implied and registered almost subcontiously.
I would and do recommend this manga to everybody. If you like love stories, you have one of the best here. If you like a little political intrigue, there is some. If you like slice of life, there’s a bit of that too. I can find something in it for just about everybody.
10/10, 5 stars, golden globe, w/e you want. This manga is, if not my favorite, definitely in my top 5.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Take for instance the exchange between Zen and Shirayuki when she did not tell him how tired she was. He simply sits down on her bed, is quiet for a moment, and there is a panel of her looking at him while he has a not quite stern, but an almost contemplative look on his face. After a pause, he simply says, “Don’t ever hide something like this from me again.” Then there is a couple panels when she realizes, shown through a slight widening over her eyes, that he’s very very upset. Yet that emotion is never said out loud, and never shown through a sfx or anything like that. It’s just one of those exchanges where they understood without giving voice.

It's really a great and refreshing manga like others have said she's not a dumb dense girl..though i think she's a bit too sensitive but what girl isn't.
Anyways it definitely is a must read for anyone interested in your not so ordinary but strong heroine.

It's funny, since my mom wanted me to become one, and here I am, reading a manga about it.
I really love this manga! It makes me prance around in flowers. The leading female HAS A BRAIN, and she doesn't make anything dramatic.
And Zen?
My heart beats for him. I would so want a relationship like theirs.

I love how in this manga, the heroine (Shirayuki, a.k.a, Snow White), is not only intelligent, but has a great character. The art is also very well drawn, and has a realy good plot so far that I have read.
Also, Zen, the hero of the story is also very kind, and I'm hoping there's going to be romance between Shirayuki and Zen. ^^
I recommend it to all readers who enjoy reading about a strong heroine.

Reminds me a little of Snow White in the begining (escapes to the woods; finds a house; poison apple; and I'll bet she'll live happily ever after) but after chapter one the entire story seperates from the entire idea of Snow White. By the third chapter I'd forgotten all about the idea of Snow White and the story sat on it's own scale. An adorable must-read for all shoujo-manga fans.

I like how the author draws the characters, and I think the story is pretty interesting--it's not common. I like characters like shirayuki. She is brave and not afraid of evil. I strongly recommend this manga!

This manga is absolutely amazing - I recommend it with all my heart. The story is new and the drawings are cute. Shirayuki is not only beautiful, but as others say, she's strong and smart. Heroines that are like that are the best! ( ^___^ ) Go read it. I swear that you won't regret it.
