As a psychological study of a closed off, emotionally stunted man who cannot spit it out, this yaoi works, to some degree. But the backstory, the chars in general, and a very bland, non interesting uke kill this one for me. The seme is a bastard, and does not treat the uke well, but he's well drawn and frightfully beliavable, and as a cautonary tale, he's a pretty good speciment... The art was also a bit meh, altough there were some brilliantly made panels, IMHO it's too sterile, too impersonal, too clean. As I said, the main story was a cliche one, with the son paying for the sins of the father, and a man plotting revenge for decades then using the innocent man in his scheme... Been there,seen that so many times in mahwa and manga! Let's move on from Count of Monte Christo plots please! I only char I like was the seme's cousin, but she also gets too lttle screen time to make a lasting impact.
However, this was worth reading if only for the psychologically interesting seme. It's not a black and white situation, and this saves the manhwa from complete oblivion.

There's better stories to read in the deep into debt naive omega uke x revenge driven cold rich alpha seme genre. This one is full of plot holes. The ending is very unsatisfactory, it's rushed and incoherent with the rest.

I have read it for the second time. I don't know why. Maybe I hoped to see/notice something, that I didn't before, and it will seem better, but....no.
It just became worse.
The ML is one of the worst and most cruel I have seen. He is cruel to the MC for 40 something episodes, he calls him by various degrading names (you never say anything even close to people who you actually like!), mentally and physically abusing him, or simply just doesn't give a shit to him (which might be even the best case). And all of that for something that is absolutely and in any way not the MC's fault, but his father's. MC was also even abused by his father, when he was little, and ML knows about that perfectly well.
So he does all of that in 95% of the series to the MC contrary knowing the truth, at one point he even says, he wanted to kill MC the next time he sees him, and then at the very end he realizes he might should act differently towards the person he likes(😕?), gives a half-assed apology to the MC (just to be clear, he doesn't even say the word 'apology', so not sure how much we can even consider that as one), and would expect him to forgive, and be with him?!
WTF is this story?!?!
ML should have gone to a psychiatrist in Ep. 1, and everyone's problem is solved...
Another thing you won't read in this story is 'I love/like you'. This is definitely not a love story, or even a story about lovers.

MC: feel sorry for him, I really do, but he is very slow. He should have realized much sooner, that this will not lead to anything good, and just escape, go wherever, and never look back. He would have spare himself from so much pain.
