I've always been a PC gamer.
Dad hates consoles so I never really have one when I was young.
I once tried saving up for a second hand GC though...but...yeah.
At the moment, I'd love to have a DS or a PSP. Saving up is tough ;_;

Neither, I play Amiga biggrin

I have two Amigas a 1200 and a 500+, I don't really use them anymore because I have an Amiga emulator on my PC.
I use both consoles and PCs for gaming, I play Jedi Knight 2 and 3, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Rise of Nations and MUGEN on my PC, and play Halo 3, Little Big Planet, Wii sports, Lumines and The Legend of Zelda on the Consoles.

BTW I own an Xbox 360, PSP and DS, the Wii and PS3 are my family's.

Bleh, not a good topic. System Wars aren't a good thing. Nothing wrong with owning both consoles and a PC, and if you can only afford one, nothing wrong with that, either.

As to "the trouble of upgrading" I don't find it to much more taxing on my funds than purchasing a new console every 5 years plus accessories and the higher prices of games, especially since I'd own a computer either way.

Consoles do have an advantage when it comes to the standardized platform, but at the same time I do prefer a certain amount of customization, which lends itself to my preference of PC. And mods can be really wonderful.

I prefer console, it's only have to change it in 6 years or so, dosen't have to worry about videocard, cpu, and most critical HD

Upgrades on those can be easily [and cheaply] done these days.

I don't have a preference, but I mostly PC games as of late. I haven't really bought any new consoles since GC. :<

PC I like to tweak out my games, make them suit me. Something which Consoles and Console ports dont let you do. Upgrading.... pfft just save up for top of the line and set up your system right and you wont have to upgrade for 3+ years, nor will you have problems with slowdown (unless you dont know what your doing and install everything that wants to be installed and use Internet Explorer, then its your own fault.)... Ive kinda gone off games right now i get more fun out of playing the free games ie quakelive and the various free mmos then i do from purchased games mainly because they are boring and repetative <---- name any number of Consol Rehashes of games imo Farcry 2, which i find myself bored and acutally playing the original more then the rehash.

We do have consoles at home PS PS2 Wii Atarii 2600 etc but noone really plays them.

PC/Console gamer here. I use both regularly, each have their own ups and downs respectively, like how having a console is more convenient control-wise or a console being a cheaper option than a PC for that matter. I don't really mind how you have to upgrade your PC so often because I'm a computer nerd myself and I don't mind building or upgrading my video card for my computer. I don't own many consoles though, just the Wii, DS, PS2, PS1 and of course my SNES. I'll never be able to give up playing Mortal Combat on my SNES.
Been playing Dead Space, Crysis, Far Cry 2 on PC.

I play both, much less than I used to, but lean towards consolses because my PC is .... lacking to say the least... I'm too lazy/cheap to upgrade it for the games I would rather play on a PC than console.

I play both. eyes Mostly I play on my PC, but my family owns a Wii, Nintendo DS, Gameboy Advance, and a Gameboy color, too, all of which I play with some regularity.

I rarely play PC games, because its a gamble if you don't have enough RAM or the right drivers, and I'm not devoted enough to PC gaming to invest too much time in figuring out what I need.. Though I'm still trying to get Mirror's Edge to work on mine. no

So I almost always use my console.
