It seems to me that at least for the moment Shūkurō Tsukishima is trying to help Ichigo. Maybe Ichigo needs to use all his power in that emotional state to get his shinigami powers backs. The reminded me that this is the second half of bleach so it shouldnt be a suprise that its not as the past arcs since its still the beginning and its still has to set a foundation for the new characters.

It would make sense if chad and orihime was in on all of Tsukishima plans, but I really dont think thats the case. Its funny how Orihime is deeply in love with Ichigo but will fight against him. Also Chad who has been with Ichigo since the beginning and supposibly a good friend. Since Tsukshima ablities only add to your memories instead of complete brainwash then why do they not ackowledge the fact that Ichigo would never go all out on somebody who is innocent. They foolishly follow the enemy without ackowledging what Ichigo has done for them. Its hard for me to take that seriously.

But I assume it will be alot more interesting with when the shinigami's show up gain and become part of the plot

Yeah, Ichigo's friend's suck - and most of the manga seems to be just scenes of people being surprised now

another thing that's not going to make any sense is how Book of End explains why the people who were fighting Tsukishima only hour earlier suddenly don't think it's weird that they're protecting him now

uhm, if it's ability doesn't erase memories and only put's him inside those memories how does that make any sense if they were fighting him already!?!
