I must agree that when there almost impossible dream came true it was almost like it wasn't such a huge thing and then it shifted so quickly on to the Youth World Cup. I think an ending after the Christmas Bowl would have been satisfactory but we'll just see how it goes.

I 10000000000000% agree on that statement. Deimon started off to be weak but potentially GREAT. Winning off the Kanto and then the Christmas Bowl does go well with the plot. It is impossibly difficult for them to go that FAR.

But...yes.. the mangaka seemingly make the Christmas Bowl as "No Big Deal" issue anymoar..and naw they're into MONEY to win the world cup confused What happen to their 'dreams'? and what happen to the Deimon seniors (hiruma, monta and musashi??)..they're supposed to be RETIRING after winning the X'mas bowl.

the manga is slowly losing it's main theme from this new "TEAM JAPAN"...and diverging waay out of the main focus of the plot.

Well I was ready for the Ending after X'mas bowl.. but. yea. I don't mind for ES21 to continue..as long as it is not DRAGGISH like other popular mangas liek Detective Conan... It's a pity for such mangas to lose their shine.. I can feel that ES21 is starting to lose it..

Ippo went the path of trying to be world champion and it's still going strong so hopefully ES21 will continue to be good. Little skeptical though.

I hope they make a memorable ending...
I don't want this to drag on too long either. If they win the world tournament, what next? Just keep going even though they're the best?

P.S. did the anime have to end so early? the manga's still at the good part.

I dunno, I agree that the manga really should have ended after the Christmas Bowl but now that a World Cup has been introduced, I think it kinda makes sense that all the seniors shifted their focus. The way I see it, the Christmas Bowl was such a huge thing because that was considered the ultimate, and after that, they wouldn't have anything really left to accomplish in high school football. I'm sure none of them were seriously thinking of going NFL or anything, and I don't know how intense the college football scene is in Japan. Now that something greater has been introduced that they can tackle ( laugh ) in highschool, they naturally start to focus on that. I agree that it would be more realistic if we had seen more celebration and such from the other members but do we really want this to be stretched out with more filler chapters? I'm at the point now where I kinda just want to see this thing end.

damn this manga is starting to become the 2nd captain tsubasa -_-
ultra crappy team, wins the state champion, then goes on to take the national school championship, then wins and then starts forming the youth team for the world youth cup and now its onto the pros.

deimon starts of ultra crappy, secures a spot in the east spot, then goes on to take the national school championship(xmas bowl), then wins and then starts forming the team japan for the youth whatever cup. ITS THE SAME THING OVER AGAIN. ! O NOES
