Yes I am a girl laugh

Ah, don't worry about it.
Cause of my name I am mistaken for a guy endlessly.
And people mispronounce it...

"Thijs" makes a nice name, and you can use it as a nickname as well, sounds kinda sympatic.

Well, my name's Tameika. (:

Easy to pronounce, but appearently impossible to spell. Those stupid 'I before E except after C' rules are killing me, man. D'=.

I often get Tamika or Tamica, and it pisses me off because I am not a rock, nor am I a singer, dangit.
I tolerate Tameka nicely enough, though, even if I don't see very often. D=

My real name is Jonathan.
But I hated it since when someone calls me like that, I found it "formal".

I rather to be call Jed, its my shortened full-name. bigrazz

Woot. Another Jonathan. And yeah, it does seem pretty formal (come on, 3 syllables?).

Is Jed your initials or something?

Its my shortened full name as I said on my post. biggrin

Have you seen the TV show Heroes?
Hiro's sidekick, his Japanese buddy that always hangs around him is called "Ando". Just watch an episode and listen to how his name is pronounced and just add a "ryuu" to that.
I know an Andrew who went to Japan and he says thats how they pronounce it. They also liked his name because it had "dragon" in it (ryuu).
It's pretty bad ass to have dragon in your name lol.

Edit: Maybe someone who can speak Japanese will see this and post a .wav file for you.

... I posted in this thread ages ago revealing that my name was... Eddie "Wang"... yes go ahead get out your Wang jokes they don't phase me... but i cracked out laughing about a year ago when i got a letter from the bank that read out my first name and middle name in capital letters then my last name... it just so happens that my middle name and also Chinese name is Zinan, so the letter spelled out to:
Mr. E.Z. Wang... i laughed for ages because i had never noticed this before.

... also my Chinese name is Wang Zi Nan, using the characters for Prince and Man.

Oh man, that's hilarious. Sorry Tachu but I have to laugh.
I can't say my name cause it's pretty unique, even in my state.
If you can roll your rrr's though, it sounds pretty elegant smile
