They're the same thing

But otaku PURE and corrupt otaku are not! (that's what the test says)

Pure otaku is the part of you that isn't otaku. Corrupt otaku is your actual otakuness.

They should have worded it differently.

"Otaku pure" = the percentage not corrupted by otakuness. But yeah, they definitely could have worded it more clearly.

One that I find absulotly stupid is the "Do you [blank] even though you don't understand Japanese. My thought was why don't you go off and LEARN some Japanese, idiot or as an otaku would say "baka".

I couldn't check those questions because I know Japanese. laugh

not too bad huh? most of the question are directed to USA ppl and since i not live in USA many of the question are not relevan to me. Question 86 to 89 are not relevan anymore for now . nobody own VCR or SVHS anymore. although i have one and it's broken ( i can't wacth my old doreamon series anymore >.<).

btw back to topic, i know i am a manga otaku when...
-waiting 5 hour for newest volume of series that i like although the shopkeeper already telling me the book not gonna arrive for another hour
-standing 12 hour straight reading manga in bookstore and only stop when the store must close, i am the only one that remaining and i am suddenly remember that i haven't eat and drink anything during the 12 hours.... -_-'
-rushing into nearest netcafe for download newest One Piece chap on 1 am when the net are suddenly down (i have a crappy provider dead )

Also if you read the 1152 page Shogun by James Clavel (?) for fun on top of all your work because you've become obsessed with samurai and ninja.

You know you are otaku or boarder line when you

— Insist on watching the original version of that anime subbed and you compare it to the dubbed to see if they did a good job. [Which they generally don't]
