I was somewhat curious how this would be categorized when I looked at the first 3 chapters but wasn't sure how this would be categorized...

Hentai, mainly due to future material that has not been scanlated. But, even if there's no penetration (seems like there is though~) it can still be classified as hentai, imo. Just barely, though.

It reminds me of girlfriend so adult & mature could do, but the content is definitely more adult than that, making the hentai tag inevitable.

how did you came to that conlusion?
is it because the mangaka is female?

i think this manga is seinen,ecchi,mature
plus the tag "borderline Hentai" would fit like other similar titles (Nyotai,Yuria shiki,my Balls ...)

or from another point view the mangaka is a Hentai artist so the manga is Hentai with a tag bordeline Normal ecchi manga
but that wouldn't make any "Sense" !!

I do not tie smut in to shoujo or female mangaka...it's an individual genre on it's own for me. Regardless, I was wrong with it because I misread the poll question so just forget about it...An Ecchi, Adult tag would go better for this series...

Some people mistake this as hentai, but it is obviously not. There are far more questionable manga than this, with actual sexual content, not delusions of them:

• Virgin na Kankei
• Aki-Sora
• A Wish of My Onee-Chan

If you want to look at a similar manga with more extreme content, you should try the author's other work, Hishoka Drop, which actually has a plot.
