like main protagonist, fighting last boss, final moment instead of winning lost, world destroyed.

instead of happily ever after, nope hit by a truck.

instead of meeting lost relative nope got lost in the arctic

instead of living past the first chapter, abducted by aliens

And finally

Alien VS Yakuza

Watch Ga-Rei (the anime), first episode is exactly what you're looking for...

So...Gintama? Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo? Ga-rei like Osirt said too..

Didn't some series end with some girl taking an axe to the guy protagonist and cause some media uproar too?

Then again, most of those requirements would make for a crappy manga...or a very interesting 4-kon series... roll eyes

Lol, sorry, I thought this was the "Looking for" section.
Anyway, I still think Dorohedoro is pretty unpredictable.

I hate random moments of 'originality', simply for the sake of being 'different'.

A unique plot is great, but unpredictable events should fit seamlessly into the series.
The difference is in good storytelling.

Agreed

A series should be good on its own, whether or not it chooses to conform.

Milk Closet and Narutaru jump immediately to mind, but I wouldn't call most of the manga on my list especially predictable.

The Record of a Fallen Vampire, pretty unique, imo, at least the plot has so many twist and turns

You hit the nail on the head there!

There are some really good, totally unpredictable manga out there. Banana Fish is my personal fav but there are loads more.

Thank you for stating this so clearly. 'Different' is only a positive thing when the story is still good
