Not one about opera like nodame cantabile but one that has a plot similar to an opera, like maybe basara or versailles no bara They usually have a tragic end and is filled with death, love, maddness, and drama. Good examples of Opera are Madame Butterfly, La Traviata, Aida, Otello, Rigoletto etc.

Princess Tutu (anime). I haven't read the manga, so I can't vouch the quality of it. I'm not really sure what an opera is like, but Princess Tutu contains death, love, madness and drama, though in a somewhat abstract sense. The first season is somewhat uneventful, but the second half really picks up, as you can see here (warning, spoilers in the video).

Never watched opera. But something just cross on my mind.. Hyakuman Tsubu no Namida, but it's little bit short.. 2 volumes.

then one in my mind is Hitsuji No Uta
It has death, love, madness, and drama. Full of emotions, darkness, and sadness.
One of my fave manga all the time...
