im looking for a manga where the mc is good friends with a girl and only after the girl gets taken by someone else, he starts to regret not having hold onto her harder but eventually moves on later.

i think Suzuka had a scene like this

whoever know the song Wedding Dress by Taeyang knows what im looking for smile
everyone who doesnt should take 5 minutes of time and listen to it!... it´s an amazing song

This is going to be rare... especially if the one giving up is the protagonist. I'm drawing a blank.
Ginen Shounen was

supposed to be like this... but the author decided not to. Lame typical ending.

I believe Ichigo 100% falls under this. Especially

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Junpei's relationship with Aya.

HOWEVER it's Junpei who gets a girlfriend (Tsukasa) and not the other way around, but he just couldn't get Aya off his mind (the indecisive fool). In the end they both realized - or were made to realize - that they were actually limiting each other's potential (which was the opposite of Junpei's relationship with Tsukasa wherein they both drove each other to be their best).

I don't know if you'll like this, but... Honey and Clover contains this idea. The story centers around 5 college students, and the POV shifts between them. It's a bit slow (and random comedy) in the beginning, but as the story progresses, there's a more realistic and bittersweet atmosphere.

Genshiken: it has multiple characters and the POV shifts between them.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
one of the cast likes his friend's girlfriend, but he gives up on her. well, more like he doesn't want to admit his feelings for her at first, but then he realize he's not the man she seeks.

Kimi wo omofu: oneshot, but it quite fits
And I second Honey & Clover too

Maybe Onani Master Kurosawa (it's not its first reaction though), but it's a manga I don't like.
And that's very debatable,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
but that's what happen in the last part of Usagi Drop if you consider him a main character.
