wow based on the results mangaupdates dont get too much chocolates huh?

It's simply because the custom of giving/receiving chocolate on February 14th is uncommon outside of japan.
I for one don't remember ever receiving chocolate on valentines day... But I may have gotten a free chocolate bar from a friend...

When I was living in my dorm in tokyo everyone gave chocolates to everyone else. And we were all girls. XD It's not really exclusively a "romantic thing" anymore. bigrazz ...unless of course it's 'super-special-expensive/handmade-chocolate'. XD

I think it would be better to give a woman something you cooked. Like a cake. Cake has so much more nutritional value than Chocolate. Cake is almost a sufficient breakfast by itself.

lol Not every country has the same practices. In Belgium they don't do that at all. Valentine's Day here is like many other Western countries. Couples use this day to celebrate their love and do/give something special.

Um if it was, wouldn't the day be a work-off holiday? O.o
No chocolates for me, in Poland the girls receive flowers (most commonly roses) from boys who like them. I've got a few, yes. Every girl in my class did. It's seen as 'good manners' to give flowers to girls you're in class with laugh As for out-of-class Valentines... once.

Not a lot of people celebrate Valentine's Day at my place except if you're a couple maybe. I do, however, remember that in elementary school, everyone gives chocolate and candies to everyone because it was part of the class or whatever.

February 14, right in the middle of the Lupercalia. But Christians didn't like other people celebrating their religious holidays, so they made up Valentine's day and forced it upon them.
