I don't know.
I've never tested, or measured how fast I read. Plus, I have little time for reading manga, and I'm reading a couple of books simultaneously, while having other things to do.. (And I come home at 18.00~.~)
But I think I'm quite fast, because I read a lot.. (although when it comes to a well drawn manga I can stare at cute/pretty/sexybigrazz images for some time^^)
biggrin

Depends on the series and how much spare time I have. If I'm free and really dig the series, I can read like lightning. Otherwise, I think I'm kind of slow.

Pretty fast, I'd say. I know for sure that I beat all my friends, at regular books and manga. But I've never actually officially checked my speed for manga, whereas with normal books I tend to cap out at around 250 pages an hour. But I read 36 volumes of one series in less than a day, so I guess that's decently fast...I don't really vary my reading speed based on the series, though. I read what's there then move to the next page. Pretty simple, eh? But I do still usually look at the art while reading it, and can generally remember it pretty well afterwards as a result, so it's not like I'm just skimming or anything.

Slow reader. I read manga fastly than books, but if I have the time, I can kill Hana-Kimi size for two days. Is it fast or slow? ... shy

I never read a full volume in one go, I probably read a chapter or two a day with a new manga. I don't like rushing, I like to take the art in and all. And I don't usually read long series so I like to make it last too...

seems everbody is either slow and methodical or averaging at 30 minutes. I tend to do around 30 minutes, with a little less for typical shounen/action/romance and a little more for seinen(i read yotsubato as slow as possible for somereason? confused )

for actual manga in book form, i take my time, around ~45 minutes (get my moneys worth, 10 bucks for under and hours worth of fun.....)

... Define "fast."

I mean, it takes me an average of thirty minutes to read one volume, but I have no times to really compare that to... I'm just going to guess that it's slightly above average (I read often), but not amazing. (And, looking at the thread, I'm about right... I think. ._.; )

I have one friend who reads crazy-fast, though. I think he read a volume of Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service within thirty minutes while taking notes the entire time... It was absolutely ridiculous.

Oh, but it takes me a bit longer for some series... Like Mahou Sensei Negima. Reading a volume of that takes me forever. dead

I've always been able to read fast but in manga I don't even consider to read fast cause I actually want to take in everything slow (pictures / dialogue) so that it sticks to me.

I never get those people that read a manga or a strip book and are just reading it without any comprehension or just a quick look at the images. I even go back to chapters if theire is a reference to something that happened earlier and I forgot the details round it.

I think I'm a fast reader, my friends always think that I'm just taking a quick look at the images, while in fact I'm reading it thoroughly

My average is about 10-15 minutes for a volume, depending on how deep the storyline is
