I'm looking for a manga where the main character isn't able to touch other people for some reason, and it is important that the suffering caused by this is emphasized in the manga!!! For example, whether they are shunned by society or feel lonely etc
Eg FullMetal Alchemist - Alphonse is an armour and can touch but not 'feel' others
Luck Stealer - The main character always wears gloves to prevent himself from taking others' luck unintentionally.
Double Arts - Elraine whose body contains a disease can't touch normal people
Thanks in advance!

I know it's not manga, not anime either but it really reminds me of Rogue from the X-men series.
She can't touch other people because then she'd steal their "power" resulting in them fainting at least. Because of that she's shunned upon in her hometown and has to leave. Plus she has this melancholic aura you were writing about. Plus she's strong and independent.
I used to watch the X-men: Evolution as a kid (and later as a laate teen) and I liked it a lot.
This series has a anime-ish touch to it, so maybe (doesn't appeal to all the series, the other ones are classic american cartoons..not to mention the movies..).
But if you're not into western cartoons/anime it probably won't fit, since its (obviously) not manga.
