I wouldn't have danced anyways, but it sort of pissed me off, so we stayed behind.

Well, yeah, that's just unfair!

I wouldn't go to an event where they'd limit me in any form or shape.

You wouldn't go to my prom then. They specifically told us not to get designer gowns and stuff. Two of my friends were warned by the mother superior (nun principal), because what they were wearing was "too revealing". They even monitor how we dance... >__<

Anyway, after party was much much better~

Yea, stupid school.

No nuns in prom? That's nice~ I thought ours would be wearing gowns or something though. They were still wearing habits... I guess that's the only thing they wear O_O

I went to mine and I regret it. They told us how we could dress, how we could dance, and what we would do while there. Like people said before me, the after parties are way better!

ha, our school didn't have a prom ceremony for us. but even it had, I wouldn't attend to it since I am too lazy I would stay at home and watch TV or read a book. who would care to dance while teachers are watching you like a hawk! *takes a sip of her tea* laugh

Wow, that sucks. Are you in a really conservative state/district? I'm not asking to be a jerk, just curious. I remember that one of my friends went to the prom of an all-girls Catholic school (his girlfriend went to the school) but they were allowed to dance and dress how they wanted.

laugh I know, they're crazy... but I think that was the norm in my country, Philippines. And yea, it was a pretty strict Catholic school.

Yes I did go, though it was so uncharacteristic of me. I was with my group of friends, none of us brought dates, so it was fun. XD

Our prom took place in a hotel, so me and my friends stayed for a few hours, then left REAAALLLYYY early and went up to our hotel room to watch stupid reality shows and laugh. Now that I think about it, that part was actually a lot more fun than the prom itself. biggrin

Yeah I went to mine. I'm in England, so tradition isn't as...*thinks*...is extreme the right word to use? I mean, it looks OTT in America to me XD

But mine was important. It wasn't just a party. Last year of secondary school with all my friends i've gotten to know over 5 years. Yeah, had to be done. We got the limo, we got the clothes, and we danced and had lots of fun eyes

I'm glad I went. Shopping for the clothes and the shoes was part of the fun as well, even if it was bloody troublesome. I spend weeks looking for a dress, and I got back to the one I first tried on. Always the way XD

Nah, it was good times. Mine was worth it smile
