skip beat - kind of taking it's time in the romance department but it's something I like about the story. The relationship hints are very subtle but all the more enjoyable when they do appear (but thats just me, hehe).

superior - who dosent like a romance between a heroic human and a psychotic demon?

Otomen - I like unusual romances, particularly when characters are portrayed in such a way that steps out of the stereotypes of their gender.

vanilla Ice- again unusual romance.

Lovely Complex- love the arguments between these two. 😀 .

could list several million more, but will leave it at there..

I"s - good mixture of romance and comedy, but what I found most amazing is that the mangaka let them suffer quite much altough they got together

Video girl Ai - some of the scenes are simple great, just pictures that say more than any word would do (same goes also for I''s)

Ichigo 100% - mainly comedy with romance and a good one.

Lovely Complex- both of them are idiots but they're really are for each other! 😃

Totally not just you there. I love Skip Beat for oh, so many reasons, but one of the prime ones is the fact that while it does have romance, it doesn't go out of its way to have romance. Which makes no sense. But you know what I mean... hopefully you do at least... meh. As you said, it just makes the relationship hints so much more enjoyable when they do appear.

And volume 12 > all.

A romance series that I just read this weekend that I sort of like but don't at the same time is 100% Perfect Girl. While it's got a lot of adorably sweet moments, it also gets... well, almost creepy at time how... over-the-top?... Jarte can be. Anyone know any other mangas that sort of give you chills because of how "intense" one of the main characters is in the relationship? Slash agree with me on this one?

I"s - A huge rollercoaster adventure. I cried A LOT. I could relate so much with the main character in the early stage...for me to get an ending like that would be awesome 🤣 Love it
Zero no Tsukaima - I've only read the novels and I really like the relationship build up. Kinda like "taming of the shrew"...
Lilim Kiss
Koorihime Kitan - .....god knows how many times I've re-read this xD
Unbalance X Unbalance - well, we don't know how it ends yet...but so far, I'm loving the build up 😃
7th Period is a Secret.
Iinazuke Ryokan

....the list goes on~ 🤣

Cat Street - While I take pride in how Keito didn't end up with the first guy she met(as how most mangas go), I really liked the build up & the climax of it. It was realistic and mature & had me cheering them on from the very beginning.

Also, where else can you find a well matched movie star x computer programmer pairing XD. If only we saw more of the romance after they got together.

Lovely Complex - One of the funniest romances I have ever read. I laughed out loud often and really liked the cute build-up parts.
Kimi ni Todoke - This is an incredibly cute manga with an incredibly cute romance. Even as I read the most recent chapter, I was nearly pulling my hairs out because I was waiting for some SawakoxKazehaya moments!
Koi Kaze - This has been mentioned before & for a good reason. It is pure, innocent love. Although it is incest & therefore unacceptable in society, you can't help but to sympathize the lovers & support them.
Doukyuusei - It's between two boys, but it's as cute as if it was between a boy and girl. The art and plot definitely match in it's simplicity & innocence as well.
Dengeki Daisy - love, Love, LOVE it!! It's hilarious & so enjoyable to read! I really love Motomi Kyousuke's work & how he knows exactly how to pull a girl's heartstrings.

Anime:
Code Geass
The Good Witch of the West

Manga:
Kyoshirou to Towa no Sora (Anime is bad. To my surprise, I liked the manga. It's only 3 volumes and the text is quite well-written.)

Not to be confused with 1 manga that's touched me and my favorite mangas of all time though.

My favourites would have to be;
Fruits Basket
Itazura Na Kiss (EDIT: The anime version though. In the manga, the author unfortunately died before the end 🙁 )
Zettai Kareshi
Imadoki!
Koukou Debut
Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou
... I guess I'm a tad addicted to romances, 🤣
