I am surprised that no one has mentioned Umi no Misaki. That has got to be the best one currently available.
Well thats what i think anyway.

Then I change my vote to Watashi no Messiah-sama since it's the only manga listed as harem that actually has a plot.
u dont read harem for the plot, u read them for the girls!
Believe it or not, the thing I like best about Love Hina is the plot!
there is a plot? where?!

I agree with you, at first i thought of voting for Mai-Otome but once i've read your post i change my mind 😳 . There aren't a lot of chapters out but so far it has been really entertaining and i like how the main lead aren't your regular harem manga leads which tends to have a rather useless male lead. For those of you who are a genuine harem manga fans, i really recommend Umi no Misaki

Ranma--the best romantic comedy ever made xD (though its more for laughs)
for romance: Love Hina is my favorite xD followed by I's (Ichigo--i hated the ending...)
"But one day she realized her beloved boxing rejected her...The day she clearly realized she was a girl... However much she wanted it, she couldn't have it. So she had to give it up. And the fastest way to give it up is to hate it, right?"

Ouran High School Host Club! But that's a reverse harem... If it has to be a traditional manga I'd go with Ai Kora. Sure, you know who he's going to end up with right from the begining, but I just love it. It's so funny!

The thing is with Umi No Misaki, it's fairly serious for a harem series. It's not so much about the crazy mix-ups as your typical harem.
In Momoiro Sango the sisters quite willfully use and abuse Sango in every way that suits their fancy (not for the kids!)

Some good choices thrown out there: Sekirei, To-Love Ru, Umi no Misaki, etc.which makes the choice difficult.
If I can only choose just one though, I'd have to say: Ai Kora. It's funny as hell; all the females are likable; it has a fantastic supporting cast; and finally it comes with possibly the greatest male lead ever put to paper. As a whole, it really doesn't break any new ground, but everything is done just so well that I can't help loving it!
[Edit] Just thought of this... would you consider Change 123 a harem? If so, that really makes my choice difficult... 😉

Nope, i don't think so. In Change 123 the female lead has some kinda extreme split personality case. They are all basically one person, instead of just changing the personality, they go one better by being able to change both in personality and physicality. But the fact remain that they are still one person, so with that in mind, i don't think it should be considered as harem(in the end, it just a matter of opinion i guess) 😎
