To be more specific I would like it if you guys could give me a bunch of series that could fit one of these profiles:

• action+school life+ drama (martial arts optional)
• romance+drama+fantasy(optional)+ a character that grows along with the series
  -super natural+drama+gender bender(optional)
• comedy+drama+historical

I dislike:
-student-teacher romance
-those series that never goes anywhere with the plot
-sorry fan girls (i am not that into yaoi, yuri stuff)
-most one shots

I love themes:
-show biz
-myths/ legends
-fighting schools
-Jjangs/ gangs/ delinquents
-cinderella/fairy tale involvement
-rpg(like 1/2 Ouji or 1/2 Prince ((I love Gui he is so funny)))

The series I love and would want everyone to read would be:
-Skip Beat( very funny)
-Basara (great drama)
-Berserk (best action / graphic violence series that I have seen and still has a storyline)
-Angel Lip (greatest show biz tranformational series for me)
-Card no Ousama (good)
-Immortal Regis (great supernatural series that is addicting)
-Chunchu (wonderful historical/supernatural/action series)
-Cinderella Fella (very funny)
-Fly High! (good)
-Hagane (funny action)
-Silver Diamond (one of the only shounen ai series that i love)
-K.O. Sen (very funny sports/ martial art series)
-Vision of the Other Side (great manga that reminds me of Basara)
-Trump! (super funny and good supernatural series)
-The Breaker (very funny and good action series)
-Xia Ke Xing ( beautiful art and the story line is fantastic)
-Zetman (Great super hero story ,reminds me of Berserk)
-Hot Blooded Woman (great jjang series that is super funny)
-Glass Mask (greatest drama/ showbiz series I have seen apart from Angel Lip, and Skip Beat)

Penguin Kakumei - Show biz/gender bender.
Ultra red - Martial arts - Ending is kinda rushed, but first couple volumes are good.

PS you know that they all don't have to fit into the profiles, they can just be one of the themes or something like that

maybe Inuyasha? its got action, fantasy, drama, a bit of romance. and the main character definitely grows.

a drawback is that its very long (500 some chapters - its finished!) and some people complain that the plot starts to detriorate. i'd check it out though!

I don't know how you feel about Oh! Great's stories, but Tenjho Tenge seems to fit what you're looking for. It's not exactly drama, but it has its moments.

If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

Historie and Parasyte are both really good. They have action, and some romance.

Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?

School life and drama : I'd go for Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.
It's a very good tearjerker, but it might get u a bit depressed.
Comedy+drama+ romance+ school life: Dengeki Daisy although it's still ongoing and a bit slow on getting updates - i was forced to get Chinese raws, and i don't KNOW chinese for sure!!-.
Romance+SL : also suzuka, not bad at all i'd say
