Worst/Best pick up line you have ever heard/read/tried

I always thought the pick-up from the movie Hitch was pretty smooth. (When they're in the bar and Hitch first sees Eva Mendez's character.)
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

i saw somebody use the famous "wow!"....i was laughing so hard when i saw it worked...they looked at me and left.

Haha maybe you should try bumping into them at like a party or something. That's worked for me. Not that I actually purposefully bump into people but when it does happen it's pretty easy to strike up conversation. Much less awkward than starting things up with a pickup line 🤣
Yeah it definitely depends on the place/situation. They guy I was talking about bumped into me at a party...it's definitely different if it's in the streets, or some place equally busy. But yes that is the easiest way to strike a conversation, just don't use any pick-up lines unless it's something like: "read any good books lately," but guys shouldn't use a follow up to the line once a girl responds like: "really? well the only book I really want to read is you..." just don't do it.

Pick-up lines...I don't think I've ever said one even as a joke. I imagine I look at them the way most women do. Lame ways to work around the wall of unfamiliarity.

Pick-up lines only work to break the ice but they are still lame. Either way even if girls don't really show it they tend to like the attention, some girls anyway. I ignore it if I see it coming unless I fall for one I didn't see coming, but I'd still just walk away.
Only reason girls don't use pick-up lines themselves is because guys tend to think that we are either 1. joking or 2. insane. Last time I used one was on a guy I liked and he just looked at me like wth is wrong with you. He said never to do that again because guys don't like being treated as 'girls'....um yea...wtf? Jerk.
So it goes both ways; both girls and guys think it's lame to use pick-up lines.

Nope. Pirates right, he's just a pussy. If a girl used a pick up line on me (even a corny one... or is that esp a corny one?) she'd def get points just cause I'd find that hilarious and I like funny girls. Guys who get threatened when girls do anything other than be meek are scum.

Guys are hunters, we don't feel good if we are the prey, but heck we will feel good if a cute girl hits on us 🙂 , is just a matter of how you did it in the first place 🙂
No matter what, always do everything away of the herd, guys tend to be quite heartless with insults and we will jump at any chance we have, if you do something that could slyly embarrass him, then his friend will blow it out of proportion 🙂 that is just the way we are 😛
Another possibility is that his Girlfriend "the extra jealous model" was around and he wanted to avoid problems (stuff being throw at him)
Then again I don't know anything about the situation he was in, so maybe he was indeed a jerk >_>
