Hm, sometimes. I don't tell anyone unless they directly ask me. My friends only watch anime, so i dont really relate, since i barely watch the animations. x)

Everyone that knows relatively well is aware that i like manga. Most of my friends are from the japanese class so they all consider themselves otakus. As for my older friends they think is unusual but they don't mind that at all, if they did they wouldn't be my friends.

No. It's not like I tell them out front, but they will sometimes say things like, "oh, you have some manga. So you're into that?" and I'll just say yeah. I am proud of what I do and like.

One time I was on a feild trip and a we were having a conversation about anime and a classmate asked me if I watched. And I said yes, and things turned for the better as we started talking about different series and what we watched.

Not really. Some of them also read it and besides once they know you're a yaoi fangirl there's not much that embarrasses you after that laugh

Telling a friend you read manga is like telling them you watch porn.

I don't know how others handle it, but I don't go around shouting it out. If someone asks-- there's no reason to lie about it. But really, why brag?

Nope. I don't know why would it be so embarrassing to let my friends (or people in general) that I read comic books... confused

Although it's looked down upon by some friends, it evens out because they have questionable tastes/hobbies that make me cringe in return laugh

Nah, but I hate it when people are watching what I am doing
on my PC, so I alt-tab right away.

Not at all..It's something fun and I would never hide it.
During a school trip I stumbled upon a manga store with some classmates..
When I jumped searching for my favorite titles they looked confused
But I'd didn't even try to care for that.. embarrassed

Psh. I tell my friends all the time about this or that interesting manga I just read. I read manga anywhere I feel like it, no matter who sees me. If I go to the bookstore with anyone it's straight to the manga section for me.

Manga's a joy, I try to spread the word~ wink

Not embarrassed at all. I don't usually talk about it though, my friends just don't find manga/comics interesting....but I kind of like it like that, makes me more unique. It would be boring if my friends liked all the same stuff as I do. Besides I'm not the type of reader who is always talking/thinking about manga/comics. My hobbies don't define me, my personality does.

Never. All my friends read manga and we are proud of it.
In my school, the ones that don't read manga are the minority. There is always a person reading manga during dear and even some of the teachers are anime/manga fans. laugh
