1. What about Sango and the monk (Forgot the name, miroko ? Ah, forget it! )
Do they end up together ?

2. Didn't Kagome and Inu Yasha end up together ? .

Both couples end up together.

I agree; the ending did feel a little bland. I wonder if it was because the mangaka just had to much to write and couldn't get it all into the pages she was given. Perhaps if it had ended one chapter later, and the previous chapter had been about Kagome/Inuyasha angsting for each other...

I believe that everyone who has posted here has finished reading the manga ( I didn't >.< ). I have just watched around a hundred or so episodes and have watched all the three or four ( I am not sure anymore -_-" ) movies. I haven't read a single page of the manga dead . So here are some questions I hope I can ask here. Long descriptions are not required.
1. What about Sango and the monk (Forgot the name, miroko ? Ah, forget it! )
Do they end up together ? Considering the fact that he is a playboy although somewhere in the episodes I remember him pledging Sango some kids ^_^ and Sango asking for a promise on his part not look at any other woman anymore. Well you know how it ends from there from the monks part.

2. Didn't Kagome and Inu Yasha end up together ? . I keep hearing something bout re-incarnation. Did Inu Yasha die or is it about Kagome being Kikyou's re-incar ?

miroku ended up with sango they have 3 kids and kagome and inuyasha (no re) were together in the past they are married

...you guys might wanna put that stuff in a spoiler box... for the sake of not killing the end for others.

The movies weren't canon, were they? With all the mention of 300-year-old youkai being old and respected (in the manga), it seems weird that a half-human boy would be that old and... well, look at him. I guess Takahashi just decided that they'll have a happy end and that's that.

Well, they are not, but I think they should be approved by the author, or are they not? And, well, it’s kind of obvious that the youkais should live longer than humans. And the half-breeds usually inherits that quality.
And by the looks of the daddy’s remains I’d say they’ve been there for a long time, longer than ~70 years.

Yeah, I was disappointed by 3 things:
1: No kissing or PDA between kagome and Inuyasha
2: I wanted them to go to Kagome's time.
3: Woulda liked to have seen Shippou do some cool move

Other wise, the end was hilarious! Nii-san! Go slay the kitsune. Just great.

well there were people who wrote on the topic that hadn't read/finished it yet, so i figured some of them wouldn't want the ending spoiled.

take a chill pill i was just suggesting something. if you don't like it you don't have to listen. and i can read well without the use of caps lock or exclamation marks.

The end, at last!!
Although I was thinking that the manga was prolonged a little bit too much and the ending lost its meaning, I still cryied at the end... so many hours spent alnog with Inuyasha and others...

Still 'go slay that Kitsune' was awsome biggrin

OMG Inuyasha is finally over, I read the final chapter and Im a little happy about, a little sad about and a little dissappointed. I was happy about Miroku and Sango(kids), a Little sad about Rin and Sesshomaru(no longer travels wth him), and a little dissapointed about Inuyasha and Kagome( no kiss in the end)

well he does visit Rin from time to time so it's not that big a problem in their end. it seems a bit more sensible thing for him to have done anyway since she's been in a lot of danger before when they were traveling. so it's a good way for to grow up uninterrupted and sort of away from danger. as for Kagome and Inuyasha's situation, well at least it was implied since they're married lol. the only thing i'm happy about it's end is they've finally defeated Naraku. he's gotta be the longest lasting villain for a manga ever i think.

The ending was average. But I didn't expected it to be good because the series already lost it's real qualities a long time ago, imho. It was ok and a good conclusion for the story. I'm fine with it, not more and not less.

What I really missed or was left open - what about Kouga? Also no solution to Inuyasha 's decision of becoming human/youkai and as such no solution to the difference in life span to Kagome.
And how can Inuyasha kiss Kikyou two times but Kagome not once in the entire series? Just a little fanservice at the end would have raised my mood to heaven, really ;_;

Kagome calling out for Fluffy was really cute, I needed to laugh. Also nice to see that he still cares deeply for Rin. I would love to read a "10 years later"-extra smile

Actually, I think that was decided long ago. Becoming a youkai obviously wasn't an option anymore, because Inuyasha recognized that he wouldn't necessarily be able to control himself, but neither did he want to - or need to - become human (remember, he can't even sleep on those nights).

Kagome accepted him for what he already was. There was no real need for him to change in that respect.

As for the lifespan: Maybe Takahashi just wrote the ending thinking that Inuyasha would live like a normal human in that respect. There's nothing in the manga that says he wouldn't, assuming the fifty years on the tree were spent in suspended animation or something like that.
