So if I'm understanding the article correctly, the creator says it's not a cat because it's never on all fours and doesn't act like a cat. Also, because he/she said so (my way of putting it), which is fine but it's pretty weird that their is no further explanation. Like he/she doesn't mention if she's wearing a costume.
Is Hello Kitty really an Anthro? If it's not a costume and that is Hello Kitty's real face and body then I don't care what the creator says that's totally an Anthro.

This would be the point where i make a Bruce Wayne analogy, who himself is the mask, but i will mention instead that you could buy 2 of these and tag team away for that “extra awesome” factor cool . I wonder how many male customers they get?
I also kind of like the assault rifle but i am more into handguns (i did 2 years in the Bundeswehr).
