with manly guys please!!! And yeah please rec me ones that have lovable ukes. I hate tsunderes and dudes that get angry for the lamest reasons. I want shy dudes that would back down if he thinks he slightly doesn't have a chance
I've read Koitomo, Kawaisa Amatte Nanika ga Hyakubai, Kare no Barairo no Jinsei

Oh I've read those before. But I wasn't much fascinated by them, since the uke looks small compared to the seme. I like it when they're of the same physique or uke is bigger than seme. But thanks for the comment

Most are low self-esteem characters, some with protective semes, but not ALL of them. Koi no Mannaka, Hana wa Saku ka, Konbini-kun., Soba ni Oitene (maybe), Daigishi no Ichizoku (??), NAONO Bohra has some sad characters, but I don't know if they fit in the low self-esteem category... After Morning Love? Color? Koitomo!?? Otokogokoro? The uke gets insecure sometimes, but not really depressed... Hohoemi no Nichijou ch1 Hinata... Shiranu wa Omae Bakari? Spotlight Lover? Darenimo Ai Sarenai? Illumination... Endou-kun no Kansatsu Nikki, Kasa no Shita, Futari? Hageshii Ame...? Koi to Wana? Boku wa Kimi no Tori ni Naritai? I don't know anymore... Amayadori wa Basu-tei de? Kimi ga Terasu Koi no Hikari... Castle Mango and Doko e mo Yukenai Ki ga Shiteta? ≠ - Not Equal? This list has pessimists, naive ukes, deliberate loners...

Afuresou na Pool maybe? The uke is not overly shy or anything (low self-esteem is more accurate here) although he was quite so in the past. Somehow, that side of him still plays a significant part in the "present" when he meets the seme, who is a lone wolf himself, really possessive and even kind of creepy (not in a reproachful way). They are both very manly guys (it's said they are 16) but the uke is still the smaller and arguably cuter one, ahah. They do look like men though, gorgeous art.
